Sousfonds consists of minutes of meetings of the Board and their various subcommittees along with correspondence, reports, financial records, recommendations for staff appointments, curriculum vitae, hospital by-laws and other documentation referred to in the minutes. Sousfonds reflects the involvement of the Board with the establishment and maintenance of the Ontario Cancer Institute/Princess Margaret Hospital, and the Board's relationship with the University of Toronto and other teaching hospitals. Files are arranged in series by committee, and then chronologically by date, as per original binders. Minutes of the Board had been kept in nine separate binders, within which minutes were filed in reverse chronological order. In addition, minutes from the Executive Committee comprised six separate binders, minutes of the Budget and Finance Committee comprised two separate binders and minutes from smaller subcommittees had their own individual binders. All files have been arranged in chronological order. The Office of the Secretary to the Board records have not been altered.

The Princess Margaret Hospital ephemera collection is an assembly of material in various formats that have been accumulated by the UHN Archives from a variety of disparate sources including, but not limited to, family members of former staff or students, other repositories, or anonymous donations. Collection consists of textual records, photographs and other material. Material in the collection relates to the history of the hospital, its staff or students.

Fonds consists of minutes from various hospital committees, correspondence, administrative and research reports, memorandums, publicity photographs, and reports and architectural drawings regarding hospital planning and construction. Records relate to the administrative, teaching and research activities of the various divisions of the hospital. Fonds is arranged into two sousfonds and five series:

Series consists of minutes of for the Surgical Oncology [Ad hoc Committee of the Board] from 1987 to 1988.

Series consists of minutes of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee of the Medical Advisory Committee. Series reflects the committee's role in evaluating new drugs and therapeutics as well as developing a formulary of drugs suited to the needs of the Hospital. Minutes of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee had been kept in two separate binders, within which minutes were filed in reverse chronological order. The files have been arranged chronologically by date.

Series consists of minutes of the Operating Room Committee and its subcommittee, the OR Utilization Working Group, of the Medical Advisory Committee. Series reflects both the committee’s and subcommittee’s role in making recommendations on any matter related to the operating room service, which has been referred to the committee by the Medical Advisory Committee as well as the booking and sequence of operations. Minutes of the Operating Room Committee and OR Utilization Working Group had been kept in one binder, within which minutes were filed in reverse chronological order. The files have been arranged chronologically by date.

Series consists of the minutes of the Public Relations Committee of the Board from 1988 to 1992. The minutes had been kept in one binder, within which minutes filed in reverse chronological order. The files have been arranged chronologically by date.

Series consists of minutes of the Medical Records Committee of the Medical Advisory Committee. Series reflects the committee’s role in developing, maintaining, and reviewing policies and procedures pertaining to the registration of patients, the confidentiality of patient information, and the documentation concerning the follow-up of patients. Series also reflects the committee’s role in developing and monitoring an efficient system of making medical charts available to Medical Staff. Minutes of the Medical Records Committee had been kept in two separate binders, within which minutes were filed in reverse chronological order. The files have been arranged chronologically by date.
