This fonds consists of 23 cassettes containing interviews with 9 Legionnaires from 6 Island Legion branches as well as proceedings of the opening and closing ceremonies of the P.E.I. Command Golden Anniversary. Also included are a videocassette with interviews of members of North Rustico branch No.13 and documentation for the tapes. The documentation produced varies; it includes release forms, biographical data sheets, interview indexes, transcripts, and copies of photographs and newspaper clippings. There is also a short final report for the project produced at the national level.

Legion members interviewed include: James William Edward Evans (Kensington branch); J. Alyre Arsenault (Wellington branch); Keith MacGregor Johnston (Charlottetown branch); Grace Nina Roper (Charlottetown branch); Sterling F. Barbour (O'Leary branch); Ruby Irene McInnis (Kensington branch); Ruth J. Carr (Kensington branch); Charles "Wylie" Barrett (Kingston branch); and Chester MacLennan (Elerslie branch). The interviews are comprehensive and topics range from personal history and wartime experiences to attitudes towards gender politics, youth and the Legion.
