The fonds consists of a genealogy of the Norton family by Jessie Rosina Norton Beck entitled "Of These Stones: The MacNaughton-Nortons," Frederick P. Norton's journal from his tour of England, Scotland and Ireland in 1843-1844 as well as the register for the Baptist Church at Three Rivers, now Montague Church of Christ, 1832-1926, which the Nortons attended. There are also several letters to Frederick P. Norton from John MacDonald, his sister Jane N. Moar and his brother John Norton. One of the latter letters describes the dissolution of the "California Association" the company which built and sailed the "Fanny" to San Francisco in 1849. There is also one letter from Robert Austin to John Norton and some invoices from Mark Butcher.
