William Ritchie fonds

Fonds consist of diaries which describe daily activities in the family, the church and the community of Canada West in the 1850's and 1860's. The first diary refers to activities in Sandwich, and the second is concerned with Jackson's Point, near the town of Sutton in York County. The second diary also includes descriptions of travels, as well as a few comments on the American Civil War.

William S. Goulding fonds

Fonds consists of the records of William S. Goulding. Fonds includes originals and copies of ca. 550 architectural drawings created for or by Goulding's students at the University of Toronto School of Architecture. The drawings are of various buildings in Toronto, Guelph as well as Prince Edward, Glengarry, Stormont, and Waterloo counties. Fonds also contains the Goulding Architectural Survey of Ontario, including surveys and some photographs of all the historic buildings built prior to 1855 surveyed by Goulding. This survey is arranged alphabetically by county, then by towns and townships, and finally by numerical sequence for each building in the township.

William Stephen fonds

Fonds contains photographs created and collected by William Stephen, long time resident of Rondeau Provincial Park in Ontario. These images, comprising of a visual history of the residential and recreational areas of the Park, were used to illustrate Stephen's book Rondeau Forever: Our Home, Our Heritage, Our Memories, published in a limited run in 2006.

The first two series of records primarily consist of recent photographs of interiors and exteriors of the historic cottages within the Park, highlighting original details and unique craftsmanship. William Stephen took most of these photographs in 2005, in preparation for the publication.

The remaining series of records consist of photographs and photomechanical reproductions that William Stephen collected from current residents of Rondeau Provincial Park. These include standing and demolished public structures, views of Rondeau Bay and boating activities on the Bay, residents, signage and picnic sites. These photographs and reproductions are attributed to the original owner or creator.

Arrangement of this fonds is based on chapters created by William Stephen in Rondeau Forever: Our Home, Our Heritage, Our Memories.

This fonds consists of nine series.

Fonds consists of two letter books of William Stewart, created 1834-1846. References made include: political appointments, public works in Bytown, the selection of a court house and jail site there and references to business interests in Quebec City. There are also references to Stewart's general merchandising and lumber business, as well as other financial interests.

William Swinton fonds

Fonds documents the commercial activities of William Swinton, mostly from the beginnings of his business in 1897 until 1907. They include most of his early journals, inventory and business correspondence, along with miscellaneous documents dating from those years and later periods. Most of the fonds pertains to the music instruments component of William Swinton's business, especially the sales of organs and pianos, and reflects its major role in his operations prior to 1908.

William T. Clegg fonds

Fonds consists of watercolours depicting various locations on the Rideau Canal created by William T. Clegg. The watercolours may have been prepared to document the construction of the canal for presentation to visiting officials. The drawings are not signed and dated, but have information regarding location written on the verso. The watercolours identify various lock stations along the Rideau Canal from Bytown (Ottawa) to Kingston: Hartwell's locks; Hog's Back; Black Rapids; Long Island; Burritt's Rapids; Nicholson's Rapids; Clow's Rapids; Merrick's Mills; Maitland's Locks; Edmund's Mills; Old Sly's Locks; Smith's Falls; First Rapids; Narrows; Isthmus; Chaffey's Mills; Davis; Brewer's Lower Mills; and Kingston's Mills.

Fonds consists of personal and professional records of William Vogan and other individuals. Included are deeds and mortgages of William Vogan and other individuals, and legal records (such as releases between George Mode and Peter Beers, power of attorney from William Vogan to John Casson, and a bond between William Vogan and Charles R. Hersey). Fonds also includes insurance policies and the will of William Vogan. Also included are: the minutes of a public meeting to consider patronizing the Vankleek Hill Cheese Factory; a statement of account from the United Counties of Prescott and Russell to Constable William Vogan for services rendered in the case of Thomas H. Johnson vs. Francis Cusinoe and Joseph Dupuis; an extract from the Hawkesbury field notes of Dominion Surveyors Fortunes; and a letter to Mrs. Dorothy Vogan from the Canada Postal Savings Bank regarding a financial matter.

Fonds consists mainly of records relating to land acquisition and title, as well as some personal records of members of the Williams family. Fonds contains Crown patents for land in 18 townships in the Newcastle District (Counties of Peterborough, Northumberland, and Durham), other land records (including deeds, mortgages, agreements, conveyances, Powers of Attorney, and other records for hundreds of lots of land in Port Hope, Fraserville, and 23 townships, mainly in the Newcastle District, and maps and plans relating to a house and property in western Canada, in Buckhorn, Ontario, and in Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S.A.

Personal records of Williams family members include correspondence, financial records (bills, invoices, receipts, accounts), property records (mortgage, insurance, and rental records), estate records of various family members, death certificates of various family members, copy of marriage settlement, deed of separation of Charles and Emma Seymour, and other personal records.
