Fonds consists of photographs of Wolf Mountain Mine including images of the underground workings, miners, heavy duty equipment, tools and surface views. Also includes an underground workings map.

The fonds consists of a volume in which are recorded the accounts (1872-1904) of William Cartwright and the personal diary of daily activities (1882-1883) of Mary Cartwright. Volume also includes some poems and recipes. The original use of the volume appears to be the 1869 accounts of a general store, possibly the Horne Store. The accounts record many purchases by Chinese and Indians. Newsclippings (1913-1941) have been pasted over parts of the early 1869 accounts.

The fonds consists of 46 manuscripts on aspects of the social history and personalities of Nanaimo.

Collection consists of a a receipt from E.J. Wilson to Western Fuel Corporation for labour and materials used in the installation of water connection at the Wilson home at 395 Ninth Street, a booklet detailing the agreement between the Corporation and its employees (1927) and a booklet detailing the agreement between corporation employees and Dr. George A.B. Hall (1921). A manuscript annotation on the verso of the booklet reads "Exhibit No. 1 Hall vs. Lane, June 28/22, A. Forrester, Re[g]."

Coburn (resident of Victoria) as Mayor of Nanaimo due to absence of any other nominees and correspondence to Col. Hon. James Baker (Provincial Secretary, Bureau of Statistics, Victoria) from R. E. Gosnell, (Secretary, Bureau of Statistics): Report of the Bureau of Statistics for the Municipalities of British Columbia, 1896.

Records include Baptismal records (1903-1928), Marriage records (1900-1928), Burial records (1903-1928); Official Board minutes (1912-1925); and Sunday School records (1859-1933).

Collection consists of a christmas card, four Congregational Banquet napkins, an annual report for 1914; an anniversary of Methodism programme, 1919; and inaugural programme for the Wallace Street United Church.
