Thomas Edward Jeffreys. Jeffreys had studied to become a minister, but as he had little chance of becoming a minister as he was becoming deaf, he left for Canada in 1905 and homesteaded in the Ponoka area. Beginning in 1921 until 1939, other than three years he spent in Calgary, Alberta, he was the minister at Magic Field, as well as Climax and Eureka.
