Includes two notebooks. The works found in the collection were published primarily between 1875 - 1940, although they range from 1801 - 1967, with an emphasis on History, all areas of Mathematics, Research and topics related to English or Language Arts. There are a number of works published in the nineteenth-century dealing with most of the collection's subject areas. The majority of the collection focuses on public and high school textbooks, particularly in relation to the province of Ontario, with some attention to university education.

Fonds consists of correspondence, tax receipts, pamphlets, and invitations found in a home purchased by Martha Hendriks in 2001. The home is located at 1202 Morton Line, Cavan, Ontario and was owned previously by a farmer named Daniel Nill (1915-[1985]). Included are letters written by Frances [ ], New York, to Daniel Nill between 1933 and 1940. Also included are letters, agreements, pamphlets, etc. associated with John Mason, William Mason, Orlie Mason, and G.A. Mason. These items are dated between 1886 and 1915.

The majority of the collection consists of records created and received by the Royal Commission on Grain Handling and Transportation (GHTC). Included are documents detailing numerious hearings from all four Western provinces. In addition to the GHTC hearings, there are also a number of documents given to the GHTC as reference material. These include information on the Snavely Commision, documents for the province of Alberta, various reports, the Prairie Regional Studies in Economic Geography (No. 1-27) and General Information. The collection also includes two maps given to the GHTC.

Balfour from the Home Insurance Company (1953), Rip Chords programme ([ca. 1944]), Coronation service programme (1953), letterhead for Balfour Insurance. Black and white photographs show Spears Ranch (1948), Balfour and Balfour Gents Furnishing Store, a threshing outfit, other businesses, and travel.

The fonds consists of records relating to Louise Wright's schooling in Ontario, her career at Brandon College and Tranquille Sanatorium, and her fruit growing interests in Naramata. This fonds contains a pamphlet written and published by C.J. Barnes titled Seventy Years in Southwestern Manitoba. The pamphlet contains an account of life in rural southwestern Manitoba from the 1880s through to the 1940s.The pamphlet is based on a variety of sources including diaries written by Mr. Barnes' father. Fonds includes some hand-drawn maps not included in the published version of the pamphlet. This collection also includes four letters c.1962 between C.J. Barnes and Rev. Robert Harvey in his capacity as a columnist for the Brandon Sun.
