The collection consists of 338 photographs, one negative, and documents relating to the cross family. The photographs in the collection come from four family albums donated by Don Cross after the death of his mother. They consist primarily of outdoor activities in and around Prince Rupert featuring family and friends as Don described his parents as great outdoors people who went everywhere. Areas and subjects in the photographs include: Salt Lakes, Metlakatla, Hays Mountain, Picnic Bay, Lucy Islands, Falls River, Remo, LakeElse Lake, Victoria, pets, steamships and people playing shuffleboard on deck, docks, railway tracks, swimming, boating, hiking, camping, scouts, class picnics, nurses, parades, the drydock, and fishing. It also includes a Canadian Red Cross registration form for Alan (1944-1945), and a Prince Rupert High School certificate for Phyllis (1925).

The collection consists of photographs of the 1928 Prince Rupert City Billiard League winners, and employees of the Canadian Fish & Cold Storage plant in Seal Cove.

The fonds consists of photographs of early Prince Rupert showing the building of the town site from the first pile driven to build the wharf in 1906, the first grade of the railway in 1908, the first GTP passenger train, and scenes of early Prince Rupert and the surrounding area up until to the 1920s. There are photographs of people in Prince Rupert, including family and colleagues, nurses during WWI, the drydock, planes, parades, boats, steamships, reservoirs, the Skeena River, Ocean Falls, the cold storage plant, football games, picnics, fire trucks, one photograph of native children in Metlakatla, and a logging camp at Alice Arm. It also includes a certificate of appointment from when Ernest was made a Notary Public on September 21, 1909 and a postcard received by Ernest in Prince Rupert in July 1907, mailed from England June 3, 1907.

Items are a photograph of the Mount Allison University Football Team, 1920, and a photograph of the Mount Allison University Football Team, 1921.

This collection consists of documents about the Victoria Skating Rink. There are 2 stock certificates for single shares purchased in 1882 and 1883, as well as two letters and a receipt, to John Walsh of Mill Street, from R.J. Armstrong regarding the use of the alleyway between Mr. Walsh's home and the York Theatre (connected with the Victoria Skating Rink). Some seasons tickets are also included.

Items are a photograph of the Mount Allison Commercial students, "93" (with Lingley Hall in upper right hand corner), and a photograph of the Academy Baseball team, 1892-1893.

The collection consists of: 13 newspaper supplements, The Montreal Star Olympic Report, issued during the 1976 Olympic Games; a pamphlet, in Russian, issued by the Russian Olympic Committee to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the International Olympic Committee in 1894; and a bumper sticker, "Share the Olympic Spirit, Atlanta 1996

Collection pertains to Skyline Hikers members and activities. Photographs were gathered by Marian Goldstrom during research for "Fifty Years of Trails and Tales, Skyline Trail Hikers of the Canadian Rockies", published in 1982.

The collection consists of: 1920-1921 Edmonton Eskimo Hockey Club programme,(5) 1932-1933 Edmonton Eskimo Hockey Club programmes, 1 autographed programme from the 1966 Lester Patrick awards dinner to honour Jack Adams, signed correspondence from notable hockey stars and personalities including Frank Selke and Howie Morenz, boxing notes, newspaper clippings and photographs of Mike Kaplansky and friends.
