The fonds consists of copy prints of photographs taken by Chooutla (Carcross) Residential School teacher A. Richard King of his students and their school life in and around Carcross, Yukon. Subjects include Mr. King, Principal Lawson, Vice-Principal Walters, supervisors Miss Fennell, Miss Barstow and Beverly Bear, the school, tobogganing, and games and activities during Winter Carnival Days and Sports Day. Also included are images of the Matthew Watson General Store and tourists waiting to board the White Pass and Yukon Route (WP&YR) train at the Carcross station. Many of the students in the photographs are identified including Helen Malcolm, Dorothy Johnnie, Judy Hager, Vivian Smith, Velma Silas, Ben Johnson, Nancy Tizya, Virginia Simon and Ann Smith.

Aaro Aho collection

The collection consists of an unprocessed accession (94/36) which includes approximately 955 photographs, brochures, periodicals, newspaper clippings, certificates and a press release documenting Dr. Aaro Aho's exploration and field work in the Yukon, especially related to Dynasty, Cyprus Anvil, Aex and Grumm, Goda and Plata projects. The collection also contains a copy of Dr. Aho's unpublished manuscript, "Notes on Keno Hill", written ca. 1972. In 27 chapters he details the history of the Keno Hill Silver District.

This fonds consists of photographs taken by Abraham Peter of buildings in Old Crow, Yukon which may soon be destroyed (as of 1980). The photographs include views of an old Hudson's Bay Company (HBCo.) building, the old Community Hall, an old store, a number of log cabins and caches belonging to various individuals in Old Crow, houses, the Old Mission, an old Anglican Church and a bell which was once used by the school. Caption list provides historical background information about each building.

The fonds consists of images which primarily depict miners working in the Klondike gold fields surrounding Dawson City, 1901-1902. There are also interior and exterior views of businesses that operated in the Yukon as well as images of cabins, houses, residents and leisure activities in the Klondike region. The fonds also includes a few photographs by George C. Cantwell, another Dawson photographer. Specific locations include Bear Creek, Bonanza Creek, Caribou Village, Eldorado Creek, Gold Run Creek, Henry Gulch, Hunker Creek, Last Chance Creek, Lindow Creek, Mint Gulch. Businesses and organizations include the Dawson Exploration Company Department Store, Arctic Brotherhood Hall, Home Hotel, Cascade Steam laundry, Sixty Mile Lime Company, Dawson Flume Hose Factory, Yukon Order of Pioneers (YOOP) and the Post Office. There are also a number of portraits.

The fonds consists of reproductions of photographs taken by the Aitken family who travelled to the Yukon during the Gold Rush. The photographs include scenes of streets and buildings in Dawson City, Grand Forks, Bonanza and Skagway, Alaska, totem poles in Wrangell and Sitka, Alaska, the "White Horse" sternwheeler and dredging operation on the Yukon River, and scenes of Glacier, British Columbia.

Adelien Larson fonds

The fonds consists of a copy of a typewritten account Adelien Larson wrote about her father entitled, "The Photo Fiend of Dawson City P.E. Larss, Frontier Photographer and Gold Miner 1898-1904". In the paper P.E. Larss' early career in photography is described, as well as his travels to and experiences in the Klondike Gold Fields. Excerpts from Larss' notebooks are incorporated into this brief biography, as well as a brief description of his life after he left the Yukon in 1904.
