Jack Carpenter collection

The collection consists of photographs and a pamphlet collected by Jack Carpenter from his life in the Yukon. Scenes include Silver Hill, Keno, Mount Carpenter, Porcupine Hill, a wash-out on the White Pass railroad, the sternwheeler "Yukon", hunting trips, placer mining and Carpenter in a Dawson parade wearing a Y.O.O.P. sash. There are captions on the backs of some of the photographs. The pamphlet is from a Y.O.O.P. special celebration for the 50th Anniversary of Discovery Day in Dawson, August 17, 1946.

There are five photographs of Yukon riverboats; eighteen photographs of Discovery Days in Dawson City, sternwheelers and White Pass and Yukon Route (WP&YR) trains, 1905-1956; and a photograph of a fire at "Newport House" on Herschel Island, 1973.

Joe Boyle Repatriation Committee collection

The collection includes a 15 page paper delivered to the Oxford Historical Society in 1973 entitled "Klondike Joe Boyle" by Len Taylor, a public notice of the illustrated talk and an admission ticket to this talk; a list of members of Boyle's Yukon Machine Gun Detachment 1914; copies of newspaper clippings; a letter from the Oxford Historical Society, Joe Boyle Repatriation Committee; and a page of letterhead of the Yukon Historical Society with signatures of Flora Boyle Frisch, Edwin Bennett and Len Taylor. The photographs in the collection include two similar black and white portraits of Joseph Boyle in uniform, circa 1920, two black and white postcards, a copy print of members of Boyle's Yukon Machine Gun Detachment. The three colour photographs, taken in 1973, depict the grave of Col. Joe Boyle in the churchyard of Church of St. James, Hampton Hill, England.

The collection consists of records and ephemera collected by Johan Groenewegen. Included are: blank letterhead from Yukon Consolidated Gold Company, and Burral and Baird; an envelope from Belcourt & McDougal, Barristers; receipts from several Dawson businesses, 1920, 1956; a 1904 letter from Henry J. Woodside, editor of the "Yukon Sun", announcing to the federal government that Robert Henderson was the real discoverer of gold in the Klondike; photocopies of letters discussing who should be credited as the discoverer of gold, 1899-1909; labels from W.M. Woodburn & Co., Chemists and J.B. Agens Fancy Creamery Butter; Yukon Placer Mining Acts for 1906, 1919; and a blank cheque from the Bank of Commerce.

The collection consists of copies of photographs collected by Joseph Clifton from his life in the Mayo, Yukon area. There are views of the radio station, the Anglican Church, Clyde Wann and his dog team, ore piles, the Stewart River, a steamboat, and the boat "Hazel Bunk", taken in 1926. The captions from the original photographs have been transcribed onto the backs of the copy prints.

Judy Gingell collection

The collection consists of three images: the Yukon group at Ottawa copied from original on loan from Commissioner Judy Gingell for use in the "At Home in the Yukon Display". Judy Gingell was a member of the group that travelled to Ottawa; one copy negative and one fibre print of Commissioner Gingell in her button blanket made from an original colour print donated by Commissioner Gingell for use in the Archives' "Governing the Yukon" display and one copy negative, one fibre print and one colour reproduction of Billy and Kitty Smith, Judy Gingell's parents, holding three carvings in their hands from an original on loan 14 July 1998 from Commissioner Gingell.
