The fonds consists of church records for the Alberton Presbyterian church from 1829 to 1900. These records consist of baptismal (1865-1867, 1891-1898), burial (1865-1867, 1891-1898), and marriage records (1855-1866, 1891-1898), as well as minutes from annual meetings (1829-1861), a stipend subscription list for 1892, and session records from 1878 to1900.

This fonds consists of a log book kept by Alexander Currie of the voyage of the "Sparrow Hawk" from Hamilton, Bermuda, to Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia, via Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The volume contains daily accounts of the voyage which took place between 10 October 1889 and 18 November 1889. Information recorded includes when the ship got underway each day, when it weighed anchor for the night, the weather, the latitude and longitude, the winds, and the activities of the crew.

The fonds consists of a three page transcription of a letter written by Alexander Stewart on 12 October 1805, to his father, James Stewart in Perthshire, Scotland. Alexander's letter, postmarked from Charlottetown, was written in response to a letter written by his family in February of that same year. Alexander writes of ships arriving in PEI with emigrants from Belfast and the Isle of Skye. Stewart offers to pay for the passage of his brother John, and encourages his father James to emigrate to PEI for the quality of life it offers and the availability of land.

This fonds consists of a record book for the years 1895-1946 and a church diary for 1965-1979. These books contain comprehensive notes recording church services, baptisms, marriages, deaths, annual reports, minutes of meetings and community events. They are primarily in chronological order.

This fonds consists of two microfilm copies of minute books of the Alexandra Lodge. The minute books date from 1864 to 1978 and contain communications of meetings, names of members, officers, and visitors, and payments and bills. The second minute book also records the number of people at each meeting.

Contents include foundation, footings, and site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, framing plans, interior and exterior details and construction schedules. Some include heating and electrical plans, occasionally by a consulting firm. A few contain preliminary drawings and white prints. The files have been arranged into the following series:

Alfred Riggs fonds

The fonds consists of photographs of Alfred Riggs, the PEI contingent and the tombstone of Riggs and his fallen compatriots; sketches executed by Alfred Riggs of Cape Verde, kaffir huts, vessels, lighthouses, etc. in South Africa and one of the Carter, Watson and Alley stores in Charlottetown; letters of condolence to Alfred's parents from Louis Henry Davies, Charles Tupper, Charlottetown City Council, and Lieutenant MacDonnell, Riggs' commanding officer; and copies of newspaper articles containing letters home from Alfred Riggs and his comrades, sketches of the battlefield at Paardeberg, poetry, testimonials to the fallen soldiers, and accounts of memorial services.

This fonds consists of 24 photographs taken during World War II, 1939-1945. Unfortunately, all soldiers, ships, and areas are unidentified with the exception of a photograph of four marked graves bearing the following names: N.(?) McKay, C.J. Kenny, W.B. Noble and T. McNeil.

Alice Fraser fonds

The contents of the fonds are records collected by Alice Fraser relating to her Aitken family ancestors of Kings County, PEI. The information was compiled into an one-hundred page book of Aitken family geneaology written by Alice in 1974. A large portion of the fonds consists of Johnson Aitken's documents. His account book documents the business of his Livery in Lot 52 (1837-1846) and accounts for the grist mill he operated with his father (1840-1850). There is a separate account of J.W. Wightman for the mill dated 1837. Correspondence relating to Johnson's profession of Under Sheriff of Kings County, including his deeds of appointment for 1835 to 1839 and 1843 is included. The fonds also contains Johnson's accounts with William MacKay and Company (1838) and Samuel Ford, a copy of James Aitken's will (1909), and correspondence relating to the congregations and ministers of the Three Rivers and Montague Presbyterian churches (1837-1843?).
