Gertrude Laing collection of documentation relating to the Royal Commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism.

Collection consists of minutes of the first to eighty-third meetings of the Royal Commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism (1963 September 4 - 1971 February 27); Research Bulletin, a compilation of research projects and contracts to be carried out to provide background information for the Royal Commission; A preliminary report of the Royal Commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism; Press reaction to the preliminary report of the Royal Commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism; and several miscellaneous reports and a letter relating to the Commission. Items distributed to Commissioners, among them Commissioner Gertrude Laing, Calgary, Alberta. MsC 333 consists of 3 recorded interviews of G. Laing by Dr. Marion McKenna, November 1, 1978, April 8, 1997 and April 23, 1997; transcript of April 8, 1997 interview; photocopy of a photograph of G.
