Fonds includes: legal correspondence, a telephone directory, a Temiskaming Telephone Company Ltd prospectus, and voters' lists for the electoral district of Nipissing, 1900-1903. Fonds also includes 12 maps of the Nipissing District.

Albert Tucker collection

Subjects include the operation of coal-fired steam engines, construction of the Moosonee branch of the railroad, the Racine Report regarding the Ontario Northland Railway (ONR), working conditions of railway crew members, the impact of the railway on the Haileybury area and other anecdotal material pertaining to the ONR.

Alex C. Mosher fonds

Fonds consists of originals and copies of the records created, received and accumulated by Alex C. Mosher during his mining career. Fonds includes geological studies, reports and surveys concerning mines in Bruce Lake, Otter Rapids and Long Lac. In addition, fonds contains records of Iron Bay Mines Ltd. such as Directors' meeting minutes, press releases, as well as geological, metallurgical and economic reports. Also included are 9 reels of motion picture film documenting the history of Griffith Mine of the Steel Company of Canada Ltd. from claim staking to production, 1953-1968. Fonds also includes 6 maps of Griffith Mine. In addition, fonds contains 6 aerial photographs showing the iron ore body and water control systems of the Griffith Mine. Fonds also contains 1 audio reel of the history of Iron Bay Mines.

Alex Walker fonds

Fonds consists of an original and transcribed copy of the personal diary of Scottish immigrant, Alex Walker, written during his Atlantic crossing in 1821. The diary describes the scenery, wild-life, and villages from Walker's travels through New Brunswick, the Gaspe, along the St. Lawrence and Montreal. The fonds also contains a letter from Walker in Ontario to his father in Scotland.

Alexander Albert MacLeod fonds

Fonds consists of records arising from MacLeod's political and advocacy activities, including correspondence, Legislative Assembly notes, speeches, press releases, biographical material, and printed material. Materials in this fonds relate to various activities, topics and organizations, including: the Toronto-Bellwoods riding, the Atlantic Provinces Economic Council, the Canadian League for Peace and Democracy, the Civil Rights Union, the League for Democratic Rights, the Cooperative Commonwealth Federation, the Ontario Department of Education, various subjects in Canadian history, mining, the Ontario Human Rights Commission, the National Council for Canadian-Soviet Friendships, and the Trades and Labour Congress of Canada.

Fonds also includes photographs of MacLeod family members, Norman Bethune, areas of China and Russia, and of the Spanish Civil War.

Also included are drawings done by children evacuated during the Spanish Civil War.

Alexander Barnet family fonds

Fonds consists of personal records of Alexander Barnet, records of A. Barnet and Co, and records of other members of the Barnet family, including J.E.H. Barnet, Mrs. and Mr. T.F. Barnet Sr., Joseph George Barnet, and T.F. Barnet Jr. Records of Alexander Barnet include personal correspondence, accounts, business records including timber and mining records. Records of A. Barnet and Co. include records regarding the Ottawa River Forest Protective Association, timber limits, and various bills, receipts, and accounts. Records of J.E.H. Barnet consist of lumber and cattle ranch records, Mr. and Mrs. T.F. Barnet Sr. are represented by personal and legal records, and Joseph George Barnet's records are primarily genealogical in nature. Records of T.F. Barnet Jr. include speeches, records regarding various community organizations, and correspondence with various politicians. Fonds also contains genealogical and personal records of various members of the Grant, McVicar, and Fergusson families, and photographs of Alexander Barnet, his family and friends, businesses, and the Renfrew area.

Alexander Brohman fonds

Fonds consists of an account book detailing payments made for work conducted on wagons, from 1877-1884. Following the volume’s use as an account book, it served as a recipe book, and contains many recipes clipped from printed sources which are sometimes loose but also glued over some of the accounts. Some recipes are also hand- written. Fonds also contains two photographs, one from 1906 of Alexander Brohman’s shop following a tornado, and one of the Mildmay telephone switchboard, dated 1926. Fonds also contains a few postcards and printed materials, including a booklet called “Canadian History Notes” by George E. Henderson and Charles G. Fisher, 1906.
