The fonds consists of 6 files of research material used in the production of Sedgwick's master of arts thesis concerning the Chinese community in Victoria, B.C.: <i>The Context of Economic Change and Continuity in an Urban Overseas Chinese Community</i>. The fonds includes photographs not reproduced in the thesis, and transcriptions of interviews with members of the Chinese community that include recollections of family, neighbours, neighbourhoods, and local businesses.

The fonds consists of Girard's correspondence regarding departmental matters, research work and student transcripts (1964-1986); correspondence with colleagues and students (1964-1987); Department of History files including minutes, correspondence, reports; drafts of Girard's book, Volume XIII of the series "Canada in World Affairs".

The fonds includes the preliminary report, related departmental minutes, letters of support, student posters, fund-raising for the legal defence fund, and clippings documenting response to the report.

The fonds consists of research files on aquaculture, UVSS, VIPIRG, Campus Green Plan, and the Gordon Head exhibit.

The fonds include Partridge's children's novel;Thunderbird (1979), campus centred satirical short stories: Civil Distubances (2000). and Partridge's edition of the novel Will Warburton (1981), by George Gissing. There are also 2 letters from Hugh MacDiarmid (1958), and lecture notes from Dorothy Livesay.

The fonds consists of two series: Commission records series, and Report series. The Commission records series consists of notes of meetings, correspondence, rough notes, submissions, drafts reports, and student responses to the questionnaire. The Report series consists of three copies of a draft of the report revised by President Farquhar, Dr. MacLaurin, and Dr. Jennings; and an original copy of the final report, signed by all members of the committee, and autographed by President Farquhar.

The fonds consists of terms of reference, notices of meetings, minutes, correspondence, notes of oral presentations, written submissions, reference material from other institutions, draft of the report, and the Commission's final report.

The fonds consists of the following series: General office files, 1966-86; Media releases, 1978-95; Newspaper clippings, 1957-88; Special lectures correspondence and posters, 1988-97; and Videocassettes of special events. Copies of videocassettes of special lectures have been catalogued with the Film Library collection.

The fonds consists of correspondence, minutes of the Athletic Council, and membership cards for the Canadian Amateur Basketball Association for 1957.

The fonds consists of minutes, 1945-1963; and correspondence and reports, 1942-1963. The records document the Council's responsibility for managing the administration and finances of Victoria College. Correspondents include T.L. Christie, Secretary-Treasurer of Greater Victoria School Board; W. Harry Hickman, Principal of Victoria College; Robert T. Wallace, Vice-Principal of Victoria College; Ray Williston, B.C.
