The collection contains images of the Lieutenant-Governors (1769-1985) and Premiers (1851-1978) of Prince Edward Island. It appears that the photographs may have been collected and copied as part of an exhibit of the Lieutenant-Governors and Premiers of PEI.

The collection consists of three photographs: Prince Edward Island Railway workers (mechanical branch), the cast of production of "In The Good Old Summertime" (Clyde River Drama Club), and a composite of 15 photographs of Eton Lodge (Sons of England) members mounted on cardboard.

This fonds consists of 18 photographs of three ships built by John A. MacDonald (1874-) of Tracadie, Prince Edward Island, in 1918-1920.

The first of the 3 MacDonald ships whose images have been captured in this collection is the "Anna MacDonald". She was built and launched in 1920 and was at least partially owned by John A. MacDonald. The "Anna MacDonald" weighed 183 tons.

Ship number 2, the "Barbara MacDonald" was owned solely by John A. MacDonald. She was built in 1919 by Duncan S. MacLaren and launched in that same year. The 162 ton schooner was wrecked on her maiden voyage, when she sank during a fierce storm off the coast of Newfoundland on December 14, 1919.

The final vessel, the "Victory Chimes" was built at Cardigan in 1918 by Kimble Coffin. She weighed 297 tons and was jointly owned by John A. MacDonald, George A. Thomson and Eleanor B. Lyons.

This collection consists of assorted materials including eight photographs of identified ships built at Cardigan as well as the steam ships "Enterprise" and "Harland" and an account book dated 1868-1888 for the ships "Willie", "Gulnare", "Altair" and "Lucy Pope". There is also an account book of an unidentified store in Kings County for the years 1853-1861 and a book listing stock and inventory for the years 1898 and 1899 that may be from the same unidentified store. The collection also contains some notes and accounts regarding the S. S. "Coila" in account with D. Farquharson, an auction sale of the estate of a Mr. Burke, and a letter written by Peter Macgowan to Michael Bourke 24 August 1853 regarding a land deed.

The collection consists of biographical information about George Walker written at the time of his induction into the Prince Edward Island Sports Hall of Fame. There is also an article about George's wife Verna who was an active volunteer within their Ontario community. The collection also contains five images including George and individuals who appear to be his brothers and his father in their military uniforms as well as a photo of George posing with his sports awards in 1924.

The volume consists of a volume a record of the marriages performed by Rev. Knox , primarily in Lot 48, between the years 1843 and 1892. The back of the book has been used for writings on certain religious tenets, possibly preparatory to sermons or lectures. There are also some newspaper clippings pasted in concerning Rev. Knox and the Dewar family.

The collection consists of correspondence to James Montgomery from a variety of individuals from London and PEI, including Thomas Desbrisay, Alex McPherson, Peter Stewart, Robert Gray, William and John Rae, and Robert Shuttleworth. These letters to Montgomery consist of news pertaining to the affairs of his land agents, tenants, and the Island in general, such as the establishing of a store in Georgetown and charges brought against Lieutenant Governor Fanning in 1792. The collection also consists of a letter to Montgomery from his daughter Miss M. Montgomery, dated 13 June 1798, a letter from an unidentified party to Robert Shuttleworth (n.d.) and a contract between Joseph Clark, millwright, and David Lawson for the building and operating of a grist mill, dated the 3 September 1785.
