The Khutzeymateen series consists of correspondence, grizzly sanctuary proposals, maps, educational programming, press clippings, and office files. The Ecological Reserves series consists of maps and descriptions of B.C. reserves. The Reports series consists of reports on bear, timber, and ecological studies, management proposals, and other publications. The Photographs series consists of Khutzeymateen slides and prints. The Audiocassettes series consists of lectures. The Video series consists of videos about grizzlies in the Khutzeymateen and Canada, and wilderness issues.

The fonds is arranged in 12 series: Alpha-numeric series (A1-W27), 1959-93; Derrick Mallard series, 1947-2001; Gwen Mallard series, 1968-97; B.C. Environmental Associations, 1972-2000; BC Environmental newsletters, 1970-2000; Community Associations, 1990-2000; Capital Regional District, 1990-2000; Foundations, 1994-2000; Issues, 1973-2000; Land preservation, 1990-2000; Awards, 1992-2001; Photographs. The Alpha-Numeric system was established by Derrick Mallard in the early years of his environmental work. The vast majority of the files were left un-filed, and constitute the Mallards research files relating to their C.A.S.E. work. These have been arranged in series reflecting the subject groupings of his early alpha-numeric system. Administrative files relating to C.A.S.E. have been arranged in the B.C. Environmental Associations series. Approximately 300 reports and publications have been transferred to Special Collections, and cataloged as the Derrick Mallard Collection. They are on a wide variety of environmental subjects, including: water, sewage, transportation, parks, farming, noise, fishing, endangered species and global issues.

<p>Collection consists of video history interviews with park pioneers, as well as some events, created by EKOS Communications in partnership with the <a href="http://www.elderscouncilforparks.org"> Elders Council for Parks of British Columbia </a>to commemorate the 100th anniversary of BC Parks in 2011.<p>The Elders Council is an independent society, whose members are retired parks system employees and conservation advocates who have dedicated a significant portion of their lives to parks and protected areas in BC. These interviews served as source material for the documentary <a href="http://ekoscommunications.com/node/723"> BC Parks: Celebrating 100 Years of Recreation and Protection.</a></p><p>EKOS Communications first launched in 2005 as ekostv.com with the goal of creating Canada's first independent new media channel. ekostv was re-envisioned in 2007 as EKOS Communications, Inc. which providing environmental education and communication services. Clients included Parks Canada, BC Parks, Natural Resources Canada, Organization of Eastern Caribbean States, Metro Vancouver, and Union of BC Municipalities. EKOS Communications’ services included project management, video production, audio production, web design and development, community animation, group process and facilitation, research and writing, communications strategy, communications consultation, environmental education, curriculum design, development and evaluation.</p><p>In December 2010, EKOS Communications Inc. dissolved and was re-formed as EKOS Communications under the sole proprietorship of creator, president and executive producer Rick Searle. As of April 2011, other chief officers of EKOS Communications included Creative Director/Writer Starr Munro, Editor/Shooter Richard Fulop, and Webmaster Prarie Blake. EKOS Communications’ stated mission is “to assist with the rapid advancement of ecological literacy and sustainability through environmental education and communication;” “Combining video, audio, animation, and print with new media innovations, EKOS Communications connects people more deeply with each other to work together for the betterment of the planet.”</p><p>Standard questions were used in most of the interviews and included dates of employment/association with BC Parks, parks worked in, greatest challenges, accomplishments and regrets, lessons learned, hopes for provincial park system today and mentors.</p><p>Interviewers included Rick Searle. Interviewees: Bob Ahrens, Victor Bopp, Bert Brink, Luc Campeau, Ric Careless, Jim Delikatny, Yorke Edwards, Ken Farquharson, Milt Goddard, Don Gough, Herb Green, Gordon MacDonald, Ed Mankelow, Ian McTaggart-Cowan, Tom Moore, Denis O’Gorman, David Stirling, Bob Williams and John Woodworth.</p>

Fonds has been arranged into eight Series. Each series has been broken down by subject and filed chronologically, either by date or alphabetically. The fonds reflect the material kept and collected by Pete Casorso. The records date from 1885 - 1997, but are predominantly from 1922 - 1987, the year after his death. The fonds focuses on the business and financial records kept by Pete Casorso. The files represent his business interests whether it is Mountview Sawmills Ltd. Pioneer Ranch, Casorso Brothers Ltd. and the many properties he owned or co-owned, mining interests (especially Lexington Mines Ltd. and Notre Dames Des Mines). Also included are records relating to insurance and legal indentures, personal records such as correspondence. Many of the records are handwritten and offer a glimpse into the life and times of Pete Casorso, Kelowna pioneer, farmer and businessman. on contents. The fonds consists of records generated by the operation of the Brunswick Cannery on Canoe Pass from 1897 to 1926, under the ownership of the Brunswick Cannery Company, and after 1902, under the ownership of the British Columbia Packers Association and British Columbia Fishing and Packing Company Ltd. The fonds also includes records belonging to the Anglo American Canning Company Ltd. probably because the company's president, Francis Griffin Bell, became the manager of Brunswick Cannery for the Association in 1902. The fonds includes licenses, contracts, financial and fishermen's records generated by daily operations, plant inventories, and correspondence. The records are not complete. The records reflect its operation as a branch of the British Columbia Packers Association and therefore give insight into the operation of the Association. The fonds has been arranged into 9 series: annual reports, correspondence, financial records, fishermen's records, Francis G. Bell family records, legal records, miscellaneous material, personnel records, and plant inventories.

Fonds consists family and business correspondence, a deed, appointments to postmaster's position, business accounts, and essays. The business correspondence deals with shippings lumber aboard the Peake Bros. schooner, 1891-1892. Included are essays written by Howard Chapman on historical topics such as Halifax history, the Cape Tormentine breakwater and lumbering.

This fonds consists of correspondence between Samuel Mayes and George Botsford and their customers, 1884-1904.

This fonds includes Oscar Hanson's correspondence, especially from his cousin Edgar Hanson, 1865-1894, and family business correspondence and legal papers, 1844-1905. There are records about fraternal organizations, 1840-1888; the Cameron Cooper Mine and Anthracite Coal Mining Co., 1876-1879, and the Post Office, 1871-1906. Also included are business records about shipping and lumbering, 1858-1883; New Brunswick government circulars, 1866-1879; and material dealing with elections, 1878-1889.

This fonds consists of a business ledger of David Wetmore, Jr., which contains references to surveyors and operations within the lumbering camp.
