He remained over 6 years in the old school house on Waterloo Road and then retired to his farm near Oakville where he remained 14 years.

Collection consists of photographs believed to be taken by William Notman or Alexander Henderson depicting scenes in Ontario, Quebec and British Columbia during the latter half of the nineteenth century.

Photographic subjects include: buildings, churches, trains, waterfalls, rivers and a variety of other urban and rural landscapes and portraits.

Series consists of City of Guelph by-laws accumulated by Hugh Guthrie during the course of his activities as a partner in the law firm of Hungerford, Guthrie, and Berry. Included is a copy of Harrison's Municipal Manual and consolidated by-Laws for the City of Guelph. These records document Hugh Guthrie's interests and practice in law.

Fonds contains photographs and textual records pertaining to the descendants of Isaac Wry, which were handed down to and kept by his great granddaughter, Pauline Mary (Alward) Spatz. Most of the content refers to Pauline, her parents John Bunyan and Mabel Lena (Wry) Alward, and her grandparents John Willard and Jennie Grace (Snowdon) Wry, as well as other close relatives. The records listed here were part of a donation that also included a number artifacts.

Fonds is divided into four sousfonds which are further divided into relevant series. All content has been arranged chronologically.
