Anglican Parish of Trinity fonds

The fonds consists of early and more recent records of the parish. The early records include a parish list for 1878, a list of persons confirmed in the parish, from 1882-1888; annual reports of the St. Agatha's Branch of the Girls' Friendly Society to 1907; offerings from the Trinity Mission, 1904-1912 and 1923-1926, subscribers list 1924. For the mid-20th century records include minute books of the parish council, 1946-1971, parish list, 1943-1947; accounts and rector's stipend, 1945-1962; members of the parish council 1947; correspondence from the Central Diocese for the period 1971-1981, when the parish was combined with that of Trinity East-Port Rexton. The fonds also includes photocopies of the registers of births, marriages and burials for the parish, 1757-1867.

The archival fonds consists of the following series: Direct Action-related clippings, correspondence, ephemera and notes; legal correspondence; pre- and post-parole correspondence, ephemera, notes and writings by others; correspondence received during incarceration; prison records (supplied to Hansen under an Access to Information request); Direct Action chapter drafts and related materials; and RCMP surveillance transcripts (closed until 2072).

Subject matter of the mixed clippings and correspondence series includes: anti-nuclear/anti-cruise missile activism, court proceedings, Elizabeth Fry Society, environmental issues, indigenous peoples issues, international activism, pornography, anti-pornography/anti-snuff films, prison-industrial complex, sexual assault, Red Hot Video, the Vancouver Five trial matters and sentencing, women’s rights.

Correspondence received during incarceration series includes: correspondence from Brent Taylor, Janice Bear Neudorf, and various supporters and publishers; series also includes 1 box of previous sealed letters from other members of the Vancouver Five, primarily Brent Taylor.

The collection consists of minutes, correspondence, financial records, legal records, assessment rolls, printed material, photographs and stereoscope cards, maps and memorabilia from a variety of sources, including the District of Mission, the Mission School Board and the Mission District Farmers' Institute. Fonds includes registers and visitors books for various schools in the Mission area, including Silverdale, Silverhill, Hatzic, Hatzic Lake, Mission Public and Steelhead Schools. Fonds also includes records of the Freemasons in Mission.

The collection consists of exhibits, videotapes and documents collected for the PCC, correspondence and legal documents related to both the PCC and related legal actions, APEC Alert posters, information, pamphlets and ephemera, other material collected and created by Oppenheim with regard to the events surrounding APEC and the RCMP PCC, transcripts of the PCC proceedings, and a number of photographs.
