Dolly (West) Iverson series pertains to the West family and the children and grandchildren of Dolly and Charles Iverson (photograph album of 235 prints). West family series pertains to the West family's life in the Great Divide, Banff and Castle areas (45 prints, 7 textual records). Iverson family series pertains to Dolly and Charles Iverson, family and friends, activities and scenic views in the Banff, Lake Louise and Yoho areas (2 textual records, 19 prints).

Photographic prints pertain to Wellman family, friends and activities, Banff and Morley events, Indians at Morley. Albums include Frank Wellman's guiding and outfitting activities, as well as Banff scenes.

Fonds consist of personal and professional papers of Walter S. Painter, 1902-1956, and Painter family photographs, ca.1905-ca.1955. Professional papers, include notebooks; cost books; reports on Painter system of prefabrication housing, 1939; plans and renderings of CPR buildings, Painter Home and other buildings, n.d., 1906-1929; articles about Painter and his projects, n.d., 1902-1934. The papers primarily concern Painter's architectural career, theatres, CPR projects including stations and hotels from Montreal to Victoria, Banff Springs Hotel, Cave and Basin, Glacier, British Columbia projects and the Lake Louise Chalet. Personal papers, ca.1930-1956, record Painter's views on economics, philosophy, religion, housing, etc. Family photographs, pertaining to Walter Painter, Stella Painter, Betty Painter and Brook Painter. Includes Painter home, activities, friends, trips. Also, photographs of Walter Painter projects, including construction of the Banff Springs Hotel, Lake Louise Chalet and Cave and Basin.

Photographs were created and collected by Walter Ashdown and pertain to Ashdown, family, friends and associates; travels and activities; Brewster Transport Company; buses and touring cars; Banff people, places and events. Motion pictures, ca.1959-ca.1970, n.d., are home movies with several subjects on each reel, including Walter Ashdown, family and friends, activities, mountain views and wildlife.

Fonds pertains to wildlife research in Banff National Park; includes wildlife enclosures, Waterfowl Lakes area, Waterfowl Lakes Cabin and Hillsdale Cabin, Bill and Jeanne Mair. Most prints are modern prints made from Mair's negatives; accompanied by letters describing the photographs. Transparencies were made during Mair's research for his BA degree, 1949.

Fonds consists of research materials in the form of notes and copies of articles describing history, specifications and disposition of Norman Thompson NT 213 and Boeing A - 213 Totem Flying Boat aircraft, which made early flights in the vicinities of Banff and Lake Louise. Also includes a photograph of the Boeing Totem flying boat aircraft on Lake Louise, 1933.

Fonds consists of photographs pertaining to the Royal Canadian Army cadets national camp at Banff and include portraits of W. R. Wharton and views of cadets, officers, groups and ceremonies. Some photographs were produced by National Defence, Western Command Public Relations; others are by British Photographic Laboratories.
