The fonds includes Bettle's correspondence, military documents and ephemera from the Boer War and correspondence from his brother Harry who was serving in World War I. There are also a Cavalry Roll book, a freeman certificate for Saint John, newspaper articles concerning Loyalists and some printed items.

This fonds consists of a diary, 1916-1918, with brief, matter-of-fact notes of life in camp in England and later in France during the First World War. There are also two notebooks from gunnery courses take by Humphrey. There is a file of correspondence sent to Humphrey while he was in charge of the welfare of some of the troops at Kimnel Park, including letters of complaint from soldiers and some correspondence about the relationships of enlisted men and British women. Humphrey's enlistment and other documents are also included.

Davidson, Jr. The legal documents reflect solicitor's work rather than civil litigation or criminal presentation. It includes material about expropriation by the Intercolonial Railway / Canadian National Railway and the forestry activities of Fraser Company. There are family documents, financial records and land records from 1795 to 1950. An account book belonging to Henry Gerrish, 1837-1840, is included as are the letterbooks of John Ambrose Street, Street & Kerr and Street & Davidson. There is also a journal of John Ambrose Street's voyage to England, 1817-1819.
