Chartrand, and people including Reverend Shepherd and Thomas Umauq.

The fonds consists of an unpublished manuscript entitled "Carrying the Territory. Silver-Lead Mining in the Mayo District 1919-1942" and written by Diane Chisholm, April 1981. Diane used the manuscript in a presentation made to the Canadian Historical Association Conference in Montreal, June of 1980.

The fonds consists of original photographs and postcards of a variety of subjects including Yukon scenes, Skagway and Seward, Alaska, Whitehorse, Mayo, a Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) officer at Carcross, a Northern Airways plane on a glacier in Kluane Park, the Whitehorse Stageline and Martha Black's pressed flowers. Also included is a 1936 Christmas greeting card from Mr. and Mrs. George Black.

The fonds consists of material collected by Dick North for his research on Jack London and his work on the Alaska Highway Family Album Project. Included are photocopied papers of Jack London's ship "Snark I"; articles of agreement with sailors hired for a voyage from Sydney, Australia to Nonmea, New Caledonia; and a stamped document issued by the British Consulate in Nonmea. There are negatives of a caribou herd crossing a river and a cat train of supplies.

This fond consists of records produced by Donald Duffy during and about his time in Whitehorse, 1942-1943. Included are photographs and negatives showing construction of the Alaska Highway, friends and family, sternwheelers, and street scenes in Dawson City. There are postcards of Yukon and Alaska scenes. The scrapbook compiled by Duffy includes newspaper clippings, pamphlets, photographs, menus, stickers, tags, maps, greeting cards, matchbook covers, receipts, poetry, and pressed flowers. There are two maps, described as items.

The collection consists of photographs and copies of typed transcripts about the river experiences of Captain John T. Smith. The photographs are of the boats "Ohio" and "Will H. Isom" and of Captain John Smith. The transcriptions are from the papers of Captain John T. Smith, including his log for the trip of the "Will Isom" from St. Michael, Alaska to Weare, Alaska, in 1907.
