P.E.I. Council of Women fonds

This fonds is comprised of the papers of the P.E.I. Council of Women, primarily a loose leaf set of minutes for the years 1968 to 1976. Meeting minutes include meeting notices, newspaper clippings, and financial information in addition to the account of the meetings. Also included are copies of the organization's constitutions: proposed and approved (1971), a membership listing and cumulative financial statement for 1969, and two publications produced by the National Council of Women of Canada: the pamphlet "Councils of Women in Canada Aims and Objectives" and the booklet "What's In It?", a study guide for nation-wide circulation and discussion.

This fonds is comprised of microfilmed copies and photocopies of the records of various entities of Presbyterial United Church Women of Prince Edward Island for the time period 1885 to 1990. Included are the minute books of congregational groups and the provincial organization; as well as records of the organizations which predated the United Church Women, such as: the Women's Missionary Society, the Ladies Aid Society, and the Women's Association. The minutes and annual reports detail the activities of the local and provincial groups and include: membership lists and roll calls, officer's reports, financial statements, and the minutes of regular and annual meetings. Annual reports and a treasurer's book are also included in the fonds. Records of specific congregations include Cornwall, Kingston, New Dominion, Hunter River, Long River, Margate, Spring Park, Kingston, Mount Stewart, Cavendish, Cape Traverse, Valleyfield, Freetown, O'Leary, Bloomfield, Cherry Valley, Vernon River, and Stanhope.

Pleasant Court Women's Institute fonds

This fonds consists of one hardcover minute book of the Pleasant Court branch of the Women's Institute, four annual reports, a treasury booklet, some newspaper clippings and a two page history of the branch. The minute book contains minutes of meetings from 19 February 1969 to 5 September 1978, as well as roll calls. The four annual reports (1975-1978) include member lists, officers, and financial statements including donations, expenses and projects. The treasury booklet (1969-1978) shows members and dues, receipts, and disbursements. The two page history, written by Mrs. James MacLeod, a former President of the Pleasant Court branch, describes the establishment of the branch.

Provincial Chapter, I.O.D.E. fonds

The fonds consists of the minutes of the Provincial Chapter of the I.O.D.E., May 1962-November 1986, reports of annual meetings, 1968-2002, working files which include constitution and bylaws, a regent's handbook, lists of chapter officers, project documentation, activities, newspaper clippings and a scrapbook. The fonds also contains the constitution and minutes of some National annual meetings as well as a scrapbook, newspaper clippings, and photographs of the now defunct Royalty Chapter.

Queen Mary's Needlework Guild fonds

This fonds consists of three volumes of annual reports for the Charlottetown branch of the Queen Mary's Needlework Guild covering the period 1952-1970. The volumes also contain newspaper clippings about the activities of the branch, as well as statements documenting finances and expenditure. The fonds also includes a booklet describing the Order of Service for the Burial of Her Majesty Queen Mary, a copy of the book "Queen Mary's Needlework Guild: Its Work During the Great War", published by St. James' Palace and accompanied by a signed letter from Queen Mary. In addition, the fonds also contains several certificates that were granted to the branch in recognition of its valuable work, a copy of a speech delivered by Mrs. A. A. Bartlett describing the origins of the Queen Mary's Needlework Guild, as well as a photograph of the "Guild Home" in Quebec bearing an inscription to Mrs. Bartlett.

Rennies Road Women's Institute fonds

The fonds contains the minute books of the Rennies Road Women's Institute from 2 March 1953 to 7 February 1989. Minute books also contain membership lists, lists of officers, and roll call as well as some financial records. The fonds also includes annual reports from 1953 to 1988. There are a number of provincial Women's Institute publications included in the fonds: 1934 and 1951 copies of "Hand Book for Use of Women's Institutes"; a blank 1979-80 "Program Handbook"; "Institute News" for Nov-Dec 1953 and March-April 1954; "Women Alone Again" published by the Federated Women's Institutes of Prince Edward Island in January 1987; and Annual Provincial Convention Programs, 1986 and 1988. The fonds also includes a two-page history by Shirley Andrews (Secretary Treasurer) which details the establishment and work of the Institute. Attached to the history is a copy of a welcome to the 1978 annual convention, and two poems written to mark the twentieth and twenty-first anniversaries of the Rennies Road Women's Institute.

This fonds contains the records of the Royal Edward Chapter of the Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire since its organization in Charlottetown in 1901. This fonds consists of 9 volumes of record books of the South Milton Women's Institute. The first four volumes contain regular and annual meeting minutes, accounts, and executive and membership lists for the years 1936 to 1957. Volumes six and seven contain meeting minutes and volumes eight and nine are the Treasurer's books which record the accounts and membership payment information. In addition, there is a file of loose annual reports for the years 1958-1985 (except 1959, 1963, 1967 and 1968) which summarize the accounts and list the members.
