Bishop Maxim Hermaniuk performs his first Episcopal Divine Liturgy in an outdoor setting, at Blessed Virgin Mary (Pokrova) Ukrainian Catholic Church, Winnipeg, Manitoba, June 30, 1951, the day after his consecration as bishop. Present with him before the altar are several clergy. Bishop Maxim identifies the event in his hand-writing, in Ukrainian, on the back of two black and white prints, each in excellent condition. MMHP0056i is dated June 30, 1951. MMHP0056ii is dated July 1, 1951.

Present with him before the altar are several clergy, including Monsignor Wasyl Kushnir, in the foreground. Bishop Neil Savaryn stands left of centre, at the foot of the altar.

Bishop Maxim Hermaniuk celebrates Divine Liturgy in an outdoor setting, at Blessed Virgin Mary (Pokrova) Ukrainian Catholic Church, 965 Boyd Avnue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, June 30, 1951, the day after his consecration as bishop. Present with him before the altar are several clergy, including Monsignor Wasyl Kushnir. Black and white print, in triplicate, is in excellent condition. Prints MMHP0053i and MMHP0053ii bear Bishop Maxim's hand-writing in Ukrainian. MMHP0053i says the photo is of a bishops' conference and of the first Archeparchial Divine Liturgy held in Winnipeg, Manitoba, July 1, 1951. MMHP0053ii agrees that the event is the bishops' conference and the first Archeparchial Divine Liturgy, but adds this is the first Divine Liturgy for Bishop Hermaniuk, citing the date as June 30, 1951.

Blessing of the Cross at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Cook's Creek, Manitoba, 1938. The home parish of the architect, Father Philip Ruh, OMI, the church was renamed the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in 1952. The photo shows the church under scaffolding, with a large crowd present for the ceremony. Black and white print is in fair condition, with creases. Metropolitan Maxim Hermaniuk has written "Cook's Creek, Man" in ink, in Ukrainian on the back.

Metropolitan Maxim Hermaniuk is seated on the High Place at the Holy Table of Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, Winnipeg, Manitoba, holding the Cross to an unidentified religious, who kneels and is about to kiss it. February 12, 1957. Details of the event are written in ink on the back of the print in Ukrainian.
