The collection contains a transcription of deaths from the diaries of Lauretta (Machon) Brooks. The alphabetical list, spanning the years 1918-1962, includes the name of the individual and their age, date, and place of death. Some entries also include additional notes made by Lauretta. The transcript was created by Anne (Nosworthy) Brooks in 2002.

The collection contains three files of photocopied pages. The first file is a copy of Owen Green's self-published 1997 booklet entitled "A Few Greens from Green's Shore: Israel Green Branch." It provides an overview of Daniel Green, the pioneer, followed by information about the second generation of Greens in Prince Edward Island. Emphasis then turns to the author's grandfather Owen Green and his descendants. The second file contains 151 pages copied from "The New World Book of Greens, Volume I" published in 1998 by Halbert's Family Heritage. The third file is comprised of correspondence between Owen Green and several archival repositories in Pennsylvania while he was continuing his family research from 1999-2000.

The collection consists of twenty-four photocopied pages including handwritten notes by Mr. Steele about his memories of boyhood and the war years, a list of captains serving on the CN ferries during his employment, a list of members of the Crystal Sisters hockey team, a typewritten account of James "Stork" Gillis, and a typewritten list of Summerside policemen from 1876-1969. The four original sheets consist of one page written by Mr. Steele about the guns in Memorial Park and three pages of notes taken by Fred Horne during a December 2001 talk with Mr. Steele. The audiocassette in the collection contains a sixty-minute interview.

This collection contains two church histories of the Fairview United Baptist Church on the Rustico Road, North Milton, Prince Edward Island (1878-2000 and 1878-2008) along with a church bulletin from the final decommissioning service held on 23 November 2008. The 1878-2000 history was written by Lottie (Mrs. Paige) Nunn and Helen (Mrs. Athol) Craswell. The additional information added to the 2008 history was written by Jean (Mrs. Sheldon) Neill.

This CD-ROM contains 342 nodes of multimedia presentation including video and audio interviews, websites, narrative, photographs and text about the life, works, and impact of L. M. Montgomery, author of "Anne of Green Gables" and other novels and poetry. The disk also includes a bibliography of sources of information about the author as well as locations where manuscripts, substantial collections of her works, and artifacts can be found.

The volume is a history of the St. Pers Fire District including the communities of Midgell, Cardigan Road, Forest Hill, Cable Head East, Goose River, Naufrage, Dingwells Mills, Fortune Road, Armdale, St. Peters Bay, Southampton, Greenwich, Cable Head West, Monticello, Selkirk, Farmington, Five Houses, and Ashton from aboriginal days to the late 20th century. It includes chapters on industry and business, education, religion, transportation, recreation and leisure, etc. This book was funded by the Canadian Youth Employment Strategy and sponsored by the Greenwich Area Residents Group and written by Juanita Rossiter, resident of St. Peters Bay. Primary research and interviews of community members was undertaken by Karen Larkin, Bonnie Hayden, Chantelle MacDonald, Christian Gavard and Tammy Dowling.

This collection contains the materials accumulated by Fred Horne during his research and composition of the book "Historic Summerside 1900-1970". The City of Summerside, Prince Edward Island, honored the millennium year with the initiation of several projects relating to culture and heritage. In the spring of 2000 the Department of Economic Development issued a contract to PEI historian Fred Horne to write a history of Summerside that would describe the changes in the town in the 20th century. An advisory board consisting of Alan Rankin and Faye Pound met with the author over the summer and fall of 2000 and reviewed the early drafts of the book, which was to be called "An Illustrated History of Summerside". Nimbus Publishing Limited of Halifax was chosen as the publisher and it patterned the text and accompanying images to blend with its "Images of the Past" series. The editing process continued through 2001 after Mr. Horne had accepted a position as archivist at the MacNaught History Centre and Archives. The book went to press in early 2002 under the title "Historic Summerside 1900-1970" and was officially launched on Sunday, 9 June 2002.

The collection consists of Horne's handwritten notes made from printed sources and interviews, the typed records of the research plan, progress reports, book outlines and early book drafts, and some correspondence with Nimbus Publishing. The edited book drafts are stored on computer diskettes.

The book's emphasis is on photographs that were collected from Summerside individuals and institutions. The collection contains 751 digital images, over 100 of them from the collection of Donna Sears who inherited the historical photo collection from professional photographer Lorne Read. The Sears photographs are stored separately and contains 111 black and white prints made from negatives, of which 8 have not been scanned. The collection also contains a variety of printed materials that were collected by the author in the course of his work.

<p>Collection consists of video history interviews with park pioneers, as well as some events, created by EKOS Communications in partnership with the <a href="http://www.elderscouncilforparks.org"> Elders Council for Parks of British Columbia </a>to commemorate the 100th anniversary of BC Parks in 2011.<p>The Elders Council is an independent society, whose members are retired parks system employees and conservation advocates who have dedicated a significant portion of their lives to parks and protected areas in BC. These interviews served as source material for the documentary <a href="http://ekoscommunications.com/node/723"> BC Parks: Celebrating 100 Years of Recreation and Protection.</a></p><p>EKOS Communications first launched in 2005 as ekostv.com with the goal of creating Canada's first independent new media channel. ekostv was re-envisioned in 2007 as EKOS Communications, Inc. which providing environmental education and communication services. Clients included Parks Canada, BC Parks, Natural Resources Canada, Organization of Eastern Caribbean States, Metro Vancouver, and Union of BC Municipalities. EKOS Communications’ services included project management, video production, audio production, web design and development, community animation, group process and facilitation, research and writing, communications strategy, communications consultation, environmental education, curriculum design, development and evaluation.</p><p>In December 2010, EKOS Communications Inc. dissolved and was re-formed as EKOS Communications under the sole proprietorship of creator, president and executive producer Rick Searle. As of April 2011, other chief officers of EKOS Communications included Creative Director/Writer Starr Munro, Editor/Shooter Richard Fulop, and Webmaster Prarie Blake. EKOS Communications’ stated mission is “to assist with the rapid advancement of ecological literacy and sustainability through environmental education and communication;” “Combining video, audio, animation, and print with new media innovations, EKOS Communications connects people more deeply with each other to work together for the betterment of the planet.”</p><p>Standard questions were used in most of the interviews and included dates of employment/association with BC Parks, parks worked in, greatest challenges, accomplishments and regrets, lessons learned, hopes for provincial park system today and mentors.</p><p>Interviewers included Rick Searle. This collection contains files on Members of the Legislative Assembly serving Prince Edward Island between 1873 and 1993. The files are arranged alphabetically by last name and contain draft biographical notes, copies of articles from books, newspapers and other publications, source checklists, copies of vital statistics documents, a small amount of correspondence and one portrait photograph of Marion Reid.
