The fonds consists of six company ledgers: 1894 - 1896, 1896, 1898 - 1901, 1900, 1904 - 1905, 1923 - 1926. Also includes 15 pages of correspondence and notes. The ledgers note expenses for various operations in the mine and in the company owned premises in town. The letters and notes concern the purchase of explosives for the mine and discusses the Consolidated Cariboo Hydraulic Mining Company.

The fonds consists of photographs of the Turner Valley oilfields and area, Dingman Wells #1 and #2, the Southern Alberta Oil Refinery, derrick construction, transportation of oil and gas, and the Dingman family. The fonds also consists of A.W. Dingman's reports and prospectuses related to the Calgary Natural Gas Company and Calgary Petroleum Products Company; Claude Dingman's notes and articles on the petroleum industry; Turner Valley operative results (1913-1935); and Corrine Dingman Patteson's family scrapbook. The fonds consists of personal papers: a brief family history, family greeting cards, correspondence, certificates, tax records, brand registration, Eleanor's teaching memorabilia, and tickets and photos of a K.D. Lang concert; two silent, colour home movies featuring Banff vacation, family garage business, earth-moving machinery, pipeline construction, cattle drive, airplane, Compeer Sports Day, and Consort parade; records relating to oil and gas development on the ranch; and photographs of the Calgary Stampede parade and Winfield sawmill.

The fonds consists of Spencer's diaries regarding prospecting (1904-1906) and transcript of diary about trip up the Athabasca River (1907); and Esme's extensive autobiography (written in 1957) about pioneer life in Pouce Coupe from the time of her arrival in Canada as an English war bride.

This collection consists of records of the Rothwell Coal Company (formerly Evans Brothers), 1906-1950, including maps and plans. There are records of collective agreements and other labour records. The recollections of some local residents, writings by Marion Upton, a local historian, and printed reports, mostly from government bodies have been included.
