The fonds consists of maps, notes, photographs & negatives, survey files, a manuscript and a heritage inventory.

Fonds consists of reproduced maps and reports, annotated by Addison, related to the Blue Flame Mine. Includes a copy of a portion of the G.H. Clapp report on gas formations in the Nanaimo Basin (1912), a copy of the Wilkinson report of Morden Mine and area (1920), a copy of a drilling report of the Big Flame Mine, and copies of sketches Addison made in 1969 of the stratigraphy in the area around the Blue Flame Mine.

The collection consists of photographs depicting people, families, community scenes and events, buildings, schools, natural scenery, and industry (particularly logging, sawmill operations, and mining) in the Cowichan Lake area and western Cowichan Valley.

The collection consists of cartographic material relating to Kamloops and district, the Nicola Valley, the North Thompson area, the Shuswap area, the Similkameen Valley, the Fraser Canyon, the Lillooet district, and the West Kootenays. Material includes survey maps, townsite plans, mineral rights maps, subdivision plans, road maps, and fire insurance maps.

The fonds consists of photographs depicting companies, buildings, and industrial sites in Vancouver and area as well as advertising and display photographs. Fonds includes photographs taken by the W.J. Moore Company.

The fonds consists of personnel records, accounts, correspondence, and records relating to unemployment insurance and worker's compensation.

The fonds consists of a cash and wage ledger and an employee list.

Fonds consists of three plans indicating the workings of the Louden-Wakelem slopes and Carruthers slopes of Wellington #9 mine from 1949 until 1964. The latest is incomplete but does include a manuscript schematic drawing of Nanaimo mine locations. Copies of Mr. Carruthers miner's certificates, copies of newspaper articles written about Mr. Carruthers upon his retirement and his textbooks on mining are also included. A number of these are from the International Correspondence School (ICS). Also included are two Special Rules booklets that outline the rules and regulations of Western Fuel Company mines in Nanaimo and descriptions of various mine jobs (shotlighter, bratticemen, loaders etc.).

The fonds is divided into 175 series and consists of correspondence, minutes, resolutions, bond and share certificates, financial and operation reports, leases, contracts, employment records, licenses, ledgers, blueprints, photographs and one map.

The fonds consists of photographs of ships in English Bay and of scenes of North Vancouver, Howe Sound, and Indian Arm.
