The fonds contains Keith Branigan's book "From Clan to Clearance: History and Archaeology on the Isle of Barra, c. 850-1850 AD". The work is the result of over fifteen years of historical and archaeological research into the history of Barra, Scotland, and its people. The author draws upon field surveys, excavations, and documentary research from the United Kingdom and Canada. A catalogue of named emigrants from the Isle of Barra to British North America (1772-1851) also appears at the end of the volume. The fonds also includes a computer disk containing the emigrant catalogue in Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF) and in Microsoft Excel and OpenOffice spreadsheets.

The fonds consists of 30 copy prints which were copied from three photograph albums containing Warren, Houston, and Dickieson family images. The images are identified and some are dated. The [2005] atlas consists of 43 maps of individual sections of Prince Edward Island. Each map includes roads, rivers and streams, contours, buildings, communities, lighthouses and range lights, golf courses, airports/airfields, parks, demonstration wood lots, wetlands, dunes, forest areas, fire truck refill stations and cemetery locations. There are indexes by names of roads, comunities, golf courses, parks, and cemeteries.

An earlier atlas, 1996, created by Forestry Canada and annotated for cemeteries by the PEI Genealogical Society is composed of 64 loose maps which contain many of the above features.

Douglas O. Baldwin fonds

This fonds consists of one photograph (2004) and three minute books for the PEI Clan MacLeod Society. The three minute books span the period from 1970 to 2005. In addition to the minutes, the books also contain lists of society members and directors, financial notes, correspondence, Clan MacLeod members' contact information, photographs, and newspaper clippings pertaining mainly to Clan MacLeod events and members.

The fonds consists of two photographs of paintings: the first of Colonel Thomas Dawson in military uniform and the second of his wife, Frances (Tate) Dawson. The paintings are undated and the artists unknown. The fonds also contains a two-page genealogy chart outlining some descendants of Colonel Thomas and Frances Dawson.

Durant family letters collection

This collection consists of letters to members of the Durant family. The majority of the letters have been transcribed and the transcriptions are included in the collection. There are a number of letters (1850-1863) to Samuel Brock Durant of Prince Edward Island from his mother Mary Ann Durant (who later remarried to become Mary Ann Goddard) and his sister Elizabeth Durant, both of Plymouth. Samuel's mother and sister write with news of Samuel's brothers, comment on Samuel's purchase of his leasehold estate and update the family with their own news. In the collection, there is also an 1868 letter from Peter Sinclair to S. Durant, Esq. regarding a PEI government appointment to distribute monetary relief for poor people to buy seed; an 1863 letter from James Durant to his parents, notifying them of his safe arrival in Falmouth; an 1864 letter of condolence from Hannah B. Simmons to Mrs. Durrant [sic]; and a 1869 letter from R. Reddin to J.C. Durant asking that Durant bring to his trial a witness who can confirm Durant's date of birth. There are two letters from Septimus Durant of Castlemain to his mother, one explaining how the bank manager had defrauded him (1860) and another newsy letter of current events (1868). A 1935 letter from Geo. N. Somers, pastor of Margate United Church, confirms the date of birth of Lottie Armenia Durant, while another 1869 letter from John Yeo to Mrs. Durant confirms a package can be shipped to England on his vessel. Also included in the collection is an 1864 store ledger statement for Samuel Durant. Other correspondence (2004, 2005) discusses the collection of letters.

Richmond Parish fonds : [1821-1957]

The fonds contains baptismal, marriage and burial registers from Richmond Anglican parish, i.e. the Parish of St. Eleanor's and Summerside from 1821-1957. Records from 1900 on are primarily from St. Eleanor's as is the Vestry book which records the minutes of annual and special meetings of the vestry and congregation of St. John's Church, 1872-1914. These minutes deal with accounts, repairs and renovations to the Church, election of church officers, recruitment of rectors, and other church matters. The registers also include reports on the state of the parish made by visiting church officials (1889, 1893), lists of persons confirmed (1888-1911, 1945-1957) and of communicants (1834, 1846, 1850, 1889).
