Included in the fonds are archival materials for Vi Plotnikoff's <i>Head Cook at Wedding and Funerals</i> (1994), first collection of Doukhobor short stories published and the first widely published literary writings by a Doukhobor woman, and George Elliott Clarke's poem-novel <i>Whylah Falls</i> (1990), later adapted for the stage and film, along with materials related to the publication of other works in Polestar's catalogue.

The fonds consists of correspondence and household finances, 1931-1951; Scott's 11 published scores, 1929-1931; Scott's 17 manuscript scores, 1931-1937; records of the Victoria Plectral Orchestra, 1935-1946; music students register, 1930-1949; diaries, 1931, 1934-1951. The diaries include short daily entries about weather, students, appointments and household activities. On occasion, the back page of annual diaries contain a list of items such as orchestra compositions and rents paid. The donation also included a tin sign for Scott's music studio: "Percy Scott Studio: mandolin, guitar etc."

The fonds consists of glass plate negatives of the military, the Pacific Great Eastern Railway, and people and scenes of Vancouver and Victoria. Some of the photographs are by V. Vinson.

The fonds consists of Turner's correspondence files as surveyor, including correspondence with the Department of Transport, Registrars of Shipping and others concerning surveying and tonnage specifications. Fonds includes correspondence and plans with Yarrows Ltd., plans by Raymond H. Richards, Naval Architect, and plans of the oil fuel float for the Royal Victoria Yacht Club. Photographs are general views of salvage of tugs and salvage operations. Painting is of the tug Sudbury II.

Includes original correspondence to family members in England, 1902-1907, a draft typescript of the correspondence, 1900-1903, and a "bound" copy of the correspondence from 1900-1907 edited by Philip T. Nation in 1983. Bound copy includes notes, acknowledgments, and references.
