Artificial collection of summit and cairn notes and registers assembled by the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies. Consists of notes and registers recording ascents and routes for various peaks in the mountains of western Canada. Includes notes by prominent mountaineers, guides and personalities, including Rudolf Aemmer, Glen Boles, Eaton Cromwell, Georgia Engelhard, Edward Feuz, Val A. Fynn, Lillian Gest, Christian Hasler, Conrad Kain, Arnor Larson, A. H. MacCarthy, Alex McCoubrey, Don Munday, Phyllis Munday, H. P. Nichols, C. L. Noyes, George M. Weed, C. S. Thompson, Pierre Trudeau and others. Also includes registers placed by the Alberta Rockies Mountaineering Society, an organization established to coordinate the climbing of seventy- five Alberta mountains as an Alberta 75th Anniversary Project. The names of individual mountains, peaks and prominent mountaineers represented in this collection are maintained in subject data field.

Grant MacEwan College Music Library radio audio disc collection

The collection consists of 78 rpm, 33 1/3 rpm, LPs, microgroove, shellac, acetate, vinyl, and transcription audio discs that comprised Sunwapta Broadcasting's (CFRN Radio's) music library for radio broadcast, and David Lennick's personal record collection. These two collections were intermixed by the Grant MacEwan College Music Library so are no longer distinct entities. The collection consists mainly of popular music, sound effects, production music, and syndicated radio plays and programs. The original Sunwapta Broadcasting Co. collection consisted of approximately 14,500 audio discs of a mix of American, Canadian, British and other commercial recordings of music, 1920s to 1950s, that comprised Sunwapta Broadcasting's (CFRN's) music library for radio broadcast. Music genres include big band, Christmas, classical, country/western, easy listening, ethnic, pop/jazz vocalist, folk, French, gospel/spiritual, instrumental/easy listening, jazz, military, novelty, rhythm and blues, rock and roll, and sacred. The original David Lennick collection consisted of approximately 2500 audio discs of a mix of American, Canadian, British, and other commercial recordings of sound effects, production music, syndicated radio plays and programs, and classical, jazz, western and popular music.

Bjarne's Books collection

The collection consists of various historical material from Edmonton institutions such as the City Hospital (1909), St. George's Society of Edmonton, the McDougall United Church, the Empire and Little Theatres, the Edmonton Civic Opera Society and the University of Alberta. There are reports of City of Edmonton Council Committees including the Joint Industries Committee, a Survey of Social Services (1929) and a proceedings from a "Conference to Discuss Western Canada, Its Development and Requirements." There is one copy of the <i>Coal Miner</i>, a union flyer, and slate cards from various civic elections. There is material on sports teams including the Edmonton Commercial Grads, the Edmonton Oil Kings and Flyers Hockey teams. There is a promotional brochure with pictures, "Edmonton the Agricultural Possibilities and Resources of the Surrounding District" (1908), issued by the Edmonton Board of Trade. Other miscellaneous notices and programs are also in the collection.
