The fonds consists of a copy of the 1938 poem "Yarn of the Howling Gale, Cameron Shipyards, Athabasca" by William Bleasdell Cameron; a photograph of Mrs. Katherine Flynn (O'Brien); 2 articles about the 1907-1914 journey of Norwegian reindeer via Newfoundland, through Athabasca Landing to Fort Smith, NWT; a piece of pottery made by Athabasca Clay Products; a large framed photograph entitled "laying water main at Athabasca" [over the Muskeg Creek] with the name Voldeng & Bolton, 255 Jasper East, Edmonton written in one corner; and a photo of a man holding a hat (possible connections to Amber Valley).

The fonds consists of photographs taken at town events, theatre productions, library/archives events, Remembrance Day services, Agricultural Society parades, Meanook Biological Station (Dominion Observatory), Edwin Parr Composite Community School graduations (1988, 1989), Alberta Pacific Environmental Impact Assessment Review Board meetings (1989), and four scrapbooks of clippings about Athabasca. Bob took photographs of the town's 75th anniversary proceedings. In 2009 Bob took 76 photographs of buildings in the Town of Athabasca and of the demolition of the Athabasca Community Centre. 2010 photos include the inside of the former and the new Buy-Low Foods store, and the demolition of the former store.

Also consists of an album of photos of the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditoriun when first built (ca. 1957). Includes a ledger and contracts related to the company's connstruction work.

In particular these records illustrate Robert Fitzsimmons' lengthy legal battle regarding the sale of the International Bitumen Company to Oil Sands Ltd. The fonds also contains some records relating to the Robert Fitzsimmons' personal life including clippings, postcards, pamphlets, greeting cards, booklets, magazines, certificates, commemoratory material and correspondence. The fonds dates from 1911 -- 1971.
