The fonds consists of photographs taken by Holland during the course of his work as a pedologist at several of his work sites in Sri Lanka, Chile, and across Alberta and other Canadian locations. Specifically, the images show measurements, digs, surveys, and Holland and his colleagues in the field. There are also images from Holland's personal life including family photos, photos and slides of Holland's gardens and rose bushes, and photos and slides taken while travelling, including time spent in Chile and Sri Lanka. The remainder of the fonds consists of 8mm film of Holland's personal and professional life and Holland's incomplete auto-biography.

The fonds consists of the operating files of the Whale Society of Edmonton from 1979-1983, including correspondence, newsletters, briefs to the Commons and other public presentations, financial records and mailing lists. There are also the information files of Dennis Wighton relating to research on whales, and proposals for an aquarium in the river valley.

The fonds consists of 17 mechanically reproduced souvenir postcards of views of the Canadian Rockies, Banff, Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge and Buffalo Park (Wainwright), Alberta.

Fonds consists of 72 photographs of Canada Day in Banff, 1998 and 13 photographs of Ken Jones at Skoki Lodge, 2000. The Skoki photographs are accompanied by a list of identifications.

The fonds consists of: 61,000 black and white and colour aerial photographic negatives and 5 flight index maps. Photographed by Weldwood of Canada Ltd., these negatives indicate Weldwood's Forestry Management Area around Hinton, taken 1955-1981. The flight index maps direct the researcher to a specific negative.

The collection consists of recorded interviews and interview summaries with pioneers of Waterton Lakes National Park. Frank Goble, and Ed and Cheryl Mitchell were interviewed but not recorded, although notes were taken and are found with the inventory. There is very poor sound quality on the Tom Jenkins recorded interview due to a cassette malfunction. The Frank Johansen interview summary is accompanied by extensive biographical material about his great aunt, Lu Nielson.
