The fonds consists of a photograph album with twenty-four photographs of the North West Territories (Alberta and Saskatchewan) and Manitoba, featuring trains, riverboats, picnics, parades, a fire brigade, natives and native encampments, Doukabors, mining, a hotel, the St. Andrew's Lockport bridge, Countess Grey, and a toboggan slide.

<p>The collection consists of films used in an itinerant picture show that toured through rural Saskatchewan, particularly through Ukrainian communities around Regina, during the 1930s-50s. The films include episodes of popular series such as Tarzan of the Apes, Dick Tracy, Krazy Kat, and Hopalong Cassidy; full-length genre films including Westerns and melodramas; comedy shorts; compilations of trailers for Hollywood features; episodes of Canadian Movietone News for 1950-51; a documentary about Inuit life in the 1940s; and two feature-length Ukrainian films that were made in North America. Both of these films were produced by Ukrainian-Canadian Vasile Avramenko. The first is entitled Cossacks in Exile (Zaporozhets za dunaem) (Edgar L. Ulmer, 1938), while the second is entitled Marusia (Leo Bulgakov, 1938). These films are in the Ukrainian language with English subtitles, were specifically made for the expatriate Ukrainian community in North America, and are rare examples of Ukrainian commercial filmmaking in North America.</p>;<p>Many of the films are fragments of larger works, but it is unclear if the complete films were ever shown as part of the travelling picture show.</p>;<p>The collection also contains a poster for Cossacks in Exile and an original cardboard box used to house one of the film reels.</p>

The Archives General File is an artificial collection of accessions which do not constitute separate fonds or collections or cannot be placed within existing fonds or collections. Included in the collection are textual records of many types, such as manuscripts, reports, letters, diaries, speeches, poetry, plans and others; photographs in the form of prints, negatives, transparencies, albums, postcards, etc. sound recorded interviews and programmes; and motion pictures. Material pertains broadly to the Banff area and many other areas within the Archives collecting mandate. Notable items include: Walter Wilcox letter; George Kinney report; interviews with Bill Round and Edward Feuz; original copy of Treaty Number Seven; Mary Schaffer material, including letters, notes, photograph and report; reports on the Nakimu Caves; film pertaining to Banff Winter Carnival; Georgia Engelhard letters and photos; plans for buildings and structures; George Noble photograph; W. S. Park photograph.

The collection consists of alphabetically arranged biographical files, typescripts of newspaper articles and research notes, and photographs of NWMP, oldtimers and general views of southern Alberta. Consists of these series: Fort Benton and Montana (1867-1956); North-West Mounted Police - General (1872-1947); North-West Mounted Police - Detachments and outposts (1882-1955); North-West Mounted Police - Old timers (1913-1957); Southern Alberta newspapers and editors (1923-1955); Presbyterian Church and ministers (1883-1926; First Nations (1877-1954); High River pioneers (compiled 1956-1960); Southern Alberta general history (compiled 1956-1961); and photographs (1870s-1930s).

The fonds consists of: maps (2), showing Professor Macoun's route through the Northwest Territory, and enlargement of Cypress Hills area (1880); images of various views of early Medicine Hat and surrounding area, ranch life (1882-1944).

The collection consists of a sound recording of "The Martyrdom of Nelson Small Legs" from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) program Fifth Estate; and lectures by George Manuel, Harold Cardinal and Ed Burnstick from the University of Calgary lecture series "Contemporary Indian Issues".

The collection consists of genealogical information on sources of material collected by Robert D. McDonald; and photographs of South Piegan, Blackfeet and Blood.

The collection consists of drawings from tracings of petroglyphs and pictographs in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba; Dewdney's reports to Glenbow about his work; and extensive photographs of the rock art sites, the tracings process, and the tracings themselves.

The fonds consists of 22 post cards, from an original group of 25, in the series : Mid Snow and Ice printed in France by The Oblates of Mary Immaculate. There are two other photographs of early Athabasca. The photo subject headings are : Athabasca River rapid, Bishop Breynat, Brother Girard, Canadian Northern Railway depot in Athabasca, Colin Fraser, Chesterfield Inlet, Cree woman, dog team, Monseignor Grouard, first airplane in north, Fort Providence, Fort Resolution, Great Bear Lake, Great Slave Lake, igloo, Inuit, kayak, and MacKenzie River ice breakup.

The collection consists of records that did not fit the mandate of the Greater Vernon Museum and Archives and includes photographs of the Lieutenant Governor of the North-West Territories, Edgar Dewdney, homesteads and farmhouses, aboriginal families and women trainees at the Air Observer School; a Drumheller District Tourist Guide; an issue of "The Roteller," the official bulletin of the Drumheller Rotary Club and mechanically produced photographic reproductions of various mountain scenes including Banff Springs Hotel.
