The collection consists of material relating to May Day celebrations which was a key community event in West Vancouver from 1931 to 1971. The celebrations included installation of a May Day Queen, parades and other ceremonies. After 1971, the celebration was renamed Community Day, and the collection also includes records pertaining to this event.The material includes photographs, registers, scrapbooks, speeches, organizing committee records, and correspondence.

La collection comprend 59 photographies de diverses dimensions. Les images auraient été prises dans les années 1955 dans les communautés de Wemotaci et de Manawan. Elles présentent surtout des groupes d'enfants devant les maisons ou devant l'école. Madame Bordeleau est photographiée à quelques reprises, mais n'est pas le sujet principal.

Health Science Information and Media Services (HSIMS) has been documenting the formation and development of the Faculty of Medicine and the Health Sciences Centre since the first mention of a medical school for Memorial University. The photographs and visual materials in this collection were part of a large display that was created by HSIMS in 1983 on the anniversary of the Medical School at Memorial. It originally hung in the lobby of the Health Sciences Centre until 1984 when it was removed and stored and later, donated to the Faculty of Medicine Founders’ Archive.
