The collection consists of newspaper clippings, mostly relating to politics, immigration, bilingualism, education, sports and Klondike Days between 1970 and 1983, historical booklets, souvenir issues of newspapers and magazines (i.e. Royal Wedding 1982), 2 copies of 1974 editions of the St. Johns Edmonton Report and a 1955 Alberta Jubilee Calendar.

Collection consists of minutes of the first to eighty-third meetings of the Royal Commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism (1963 September 4 - 1971 February 27); Research Bulletin, a compilation of research projects and contracts to be carried out to provide background information for the Royal Commission; A preliminary report of the Royal Commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism; Press reaction to the preliminary report of the Royal Commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism; and several miscellaneous reports and a letter relating to the Commission. This collection consists of the history of the Edmonton Public School Board (1885-1935), a souvenir program of the Edmonton Exhibition (1926), the constitution of the Prince Albert Club, and brand registrations. Photographs are catalogued separately.

The collection consists of a program for the Alberta Inaugural Celebration Concert at Thistle Rink in Edmonton, Alberta dating from 1905; a membership card for the Edmonton Amateur Athletic Club dating from ca. 1908; an account book for the Union Book of Canada and a bundle of cancelled cheques dating from 1917; a copy of The Alberta Social Credit Chronicle dating from 1935; a pamphlet entitled "The Douglas System of Economics"; a photograph of the G.A. Forster Ranch House; and a photograph of the Forster family.

The collection consists of nine large watercolour illustrative panels commissioned by the UBC Museum of Anthropology, eight of which were commissioned for the exhibit The Four Seasons: Food Getting in British Columbia Prehistory, which ran from April to November 1979. The other watercolour is from an unidentified exhibit or sourcebook.

This collection contains the attendance registers from 1968 onward. Series of registers for the smaller community schools cease as the schools were closed. In 1968 the Department of Education changed the format of the registers. They record student names, attendance, and occasional comments by teachers.

There are registers from the following villages although not all series are complete: District #1 North Head, beginning 1907; District #2 Castalia, beginning 1919; District #3 Woodward’s Cove, beginning 1923; District # Grand Harbour, beginning 1892; District #5 Seal Cove, beginning 1934; District #6 White Head, beginning 1923; District #7 Wood Island, beginning 1929; and District #9 Deep Cove, beginning 1926."
