The fonds consists of five sous-fonds: the Alberta Human Resources Research Council sous-fonds, the Council of the Alberta Order of Excellence sous-fonds, the Executive Council Office sous-fonds, the Office of the Premier sous-fonds, and the Public Affairs Bureau sous-fonds; and the following series: Alberta Advisory Council records from 1967 to 1971, Emergency Measures Organization records from 1950 to 1970, Native Secretariat records from 1960 to 1976, Northern Development Branch records from 1970 to 1985, and Protocol Office records from 1951 to 1979.

The fonds consists of minutes of the Springbank Rural Electrification Association Ltd. dating from 1946 to 1972, certificates related to the sale of Springbank Rural Electrification Association in 1975, a publication of the history of Alberta Rural Electrification Associations dating from 1997, and a publication entitled, Country Power (1993).

Sous-fonds consists of records created, used and maintained in the course of the creation and delivery of support grant programs for individuals and groups in the performing, literary and visual arts. The sous-fonds contains records of predecessor Foundations. The sous-fonds contains correspondence, grant case files, minutes and agendas of Board and committee meetings, and audio-video materials created as the result of grant-funded projects. The records have been arranged into the following series: ; Board records; Administrative records; Grant case files; Grant recipient recordings.

Sous-fonds consists of the records of the Secretary of the Alberta Foundation for the Performing Arts. The records consist of administrative records, including meeting minutes of the Board.

Sous-fonds consists of administrative, operational and executive records related to the administration of lotteries and gaming programs, liquor distribution, and licensing of wine shops. The sous-fonds is made up of records of predecessor agencies and branches. The sous-fonds contains correspondence, minutes and agendas, annual and other reports, financial records, public relations and communications records and reference material. The records have been arranged into the following series. Selections were made on Loss Claim Records and Expired Policy Records, consequently the records only reflect a sample of this type of record.
