Most of the material deals with the pioneer history of Alberta.

Evans, James Carruthers, Biggar, Gillespie, Kinnard, James Kennedy Cornwall, Jeremiah Heffernan, Charles Wilson Cross, Pike, John Thompson Stirling, and the Kerr families. Generally the houses were known by the family name but some were given individual names such as, Sterlingswood also spelled Stirlingswood, the Villa and Sylvancroft. There is also a copy of <i>North with Peace River Jim</i> (971.23/KEL)
