Carolyn Kaufman fonds

The fonds consists of materials created or collected by Carolyn Kaufman and dating from 1934 to 1954. The fonds consists of an Edmonton Art Club exhibition program and an Edmonton Museum of Arts Bulletin. Also included are two church programs and several historical questionnaires relating to Mrs. Kaufman's historic churches project.

This collection consists of a variety of reports, programs, addresses, and brochures relating to events, institutions, and organizations in Edmonton. There are also a Health Department report (1929), a scribbler from William Griesbach (1894-95), geographical papers of Dr. William C. Wonders on Edmonton geography, materials from a member of the Commonwealth Games marketing committee and the Edmonton - Alberta Municipal Advisory Committee.

The fonds consists of materials created or collected by Mary Campbell of Edmonton and dating from 1942-1984. The fonds consists of various papers relating to Edmonton, its businesses and special events. There are several historical photographs of Edmonton and booklets on the University High School reunions of 1942-43 and 1954-55. There are also programs and records of theatre, opera and ballet productions during the period from 1971-1984. Mrs. Campbell's collection of Christmas cards from the Lougheeds between 1975 and 1980, copies of <i>Branching Out, Canada's Women's Magazine</i> and knitting and crochet books are also included in the fonds.

The fonds consists of materials created by the Edmonton Architectural firm MacDonald and Magoon Architects between 1907 and 1958. The fonds consists of approximately 6000 linen and vellum blueprints and paper drawings relating to 475 design projects undertaken by the firm of Magoon and MacDonald, and then by George Heath MacDonald. The fonds also contains related correspondence and building specifications for some projects.

MS-515: This fonds consists of programs and sheet music from the Light Opera of Edmonton. MS 515.1: This fonds consists of personal and family records of May Dornan. These records break down into four groups: scrapbooks, Catholic Church materials, miscellaneous materials, and Dennis Dornan materials. The scrapbooks consists of a photograph album of a production of "The Lass of Limerick Town"; two scrapbooks of miscellaneous materials including newspaper clippings on history, architecture and the catholic church in Edmonton, cards, notices, invitations and other ephemera; a scrapbook on family and church history; and finally a scrapbook on "The First Fifty Years" A Pictorial Review of the Origin of the Parish of St. Anthony of Padua and the Contributions made by the Pioneers, both for the Church and in the Community." Catholic Church materials consists of various publications on the church in Edmonton, including material on St. Anthony's, the Catholic Archdiocese of Edmonton, the Catholic Women's League, St. Agnes, St. René / Our Lady of Assumption, and Edmonton Catholic Schools. The miscellaneous materials consist of Women's Aid Society of the Royal Alexandria Hospital Recipe Book, Celebration of Marriage between Doreen Gale and Wayne Bard, Obituary: A Story, "Canada's Constitution--A Proud Moment for Alberta," Theatre Programmes, and a Granite Curling Club Roster. This fonds also contains material from Dennis Dornan, including material from his time with the Edmonton Junior Chamber of Commerce.

The fonds consists of materials created or collected by Alex Mair of Edmonton between 1973 and 1995. The fonds consists of materials collected during research for columns, including a history of the Tegler Trust; a copy of the Hudson's Bay anniversary publication; books including the <em>EPS: the First Hundred Years - A History of the Edmonton Police Service; </em> badges and a copy of the <em>Edmonton Journal</em> (08/23/1973) on the James Cameron bomb threat edition; and a videotape titled <i>Canada in View: Living Ghosts</i> (CFRN April 1995). MS 531.1: This fonds consists of Mair's research into the Edmonton Police Service, including his finished manuscript and drafts, files from the Edmonton Police Service, Newspaper clippings primarily from the 1980s, and his research into the Frank Willey and Robert Nevelle murders (both murder files are restricted). MS 531.2: This fonds consists of Alex Mair's research into the history of the Edmonton Police Service, including transcripts and notes from interviews with various members of the EPS, as well as research notes and manuscript drafts. MS 531.3: This fonds consists of Alex Mair's research into the history of Edmonton and Alberta, some personal papers (including engineering material), and his scripts and notes for his CBC radio broadcasts from the 1970s to 2001.
