The fonds consists of records relating to the preparation of "Letters from Sooke: A Correspondence Between Sir Herbert Read and George Woodcock", including correspondence of Patrick Healey, Benedict Read, George Woodcock, and Howard Gerwing. Also included are a few bound copies of "Letters from Sooke" and a quantity of unbound leaves.

Boxer Rebellion photograph collection
The collection consists of a photograph album in an Japanese decorated lacquer case, done in the accordion manner. The two figures on the case have ivory heads inset. The album contains fifty 9.5 x 7.5 black and white photographs taken during the early part of the Boxer Rebellion, commencing in June 3 1900. It includes pictures of the destruction houses, larger buildings, railway lines, the capture of Chinese prisoners and various English, German and Japanese troops. Each photograph has its own typeset legend underneath
The fonds consists firstly, of correspondence from many well known writers such as Margaret Atwood, Doug Beardsley, bill bissett, George Bowering, Marilyn Bowering, Robert Bringhurst, Barry Callaghan, Lorna Crozier, William Deverell, Timothy Findley, John Glassco, Robert Harlow, David Homel, Patrick Lane, Dennis Lee, Charles Lillard, Dorothy Livesay, Susan Musgrave, John Newlove, Sharon Olds, Michael Ondaatje, P.K. Page, George Payerle, Al Purdy, Joe Rosenblatt, Jane Rule, Jane Urqhuhart, and Sean Virgo. It is arranged in alphabetic series. Secondly, there are prose and poetry manuscripts. These are roughly divided into poetry and prose, with some large sections of late drafts intact. Thirdly, there are materials relating to the Writer's Union of Canada, Writers in Electronic Residence, political press clippings, material about his libel trial, and miscellaneous printed material.

The collection consists of a carbon typescript, with her holograph corrections, of "D.H. Lawrence" (first version) and a carbon typescript, with her holograph corrections, of "W.B. Yeats: Some Memories", together with 2 photographs; one of Patmore and the other of W.B. Yeats, both taken at Rapallo 1928-29. Also included are two explanatory sheets by her son, Derek Patmore. The first is a typescript "Brigit Patmore & D.H. Lawrence", the second a manuscript "Some memories of WB Yeats by Brigit Patmore".

The fonds consists mainly of correspondence (1942-63) from various writers and contributors to the Aylesford Review. Included among the correspondents are: Terence I.F. Armstrong (John Gawsworth), John Betjeman, Shelagh Delaney, Joseph Delteil, Eleanor Farjeon, Graham Greene, Alyse Gregory (widow of L. Powys), Arthur Machen, John Cowper Powys, Stevie Smith, Una Troubridge, Sylvia Townsend Warner and Louis Wilkinson. Also included in the fonds is a small amount of earlier correspondence from G.K. Chesterton to Father Vincent McNabb (1926) and from Eric Gill to Clare Pepler (1922-25).

The collection consists of ancient documents, including a cuneiform tablet and an Egyptian hieroglyph; Medieval and Renaissance documents from England, France, Spain and Italy, 1243-1599, including deeds, charters, illuminated manuscript leaves, letter, letters patent, papal bulls, fragments from religious manuscripts, manuscripts on medicine and magic, a catalogue of English armorial shields, statutes of the Garter, and a manuscript of a Spanish Armelite prioress; modern literary and political manuscripts, records, and autographs, including policies of assurance, letters, and World War I and World War II surrender documents; autographs of various world figures; maps of Europe, Asia and North America; medals, decorations, and flags, mostly from Europe.
The fonds consists of correspondence of Flora Burns and other family members, including letters from Louisa Blum, Pearl Craigie, Mrs. Morgan Richards, and the Warburg family, and correspondence between Flora Burns and Sister Mary Theodore, Sister's of St. Ann's, Victoria; photograph of Flora Burns; clippings; and books of poems by Edward Francis Harris and psalms. There is also a signed letter from Anne Harvie Ross Foster, (Mrs W. Garland Foster) 1875-, (now Ann Hanley) to Flora Hamilton Burns together with a typed carbon reply from Miss Burns, in which she talks about "The Mohawk Princess".
