Fonds consists of the first and second reports as submitted by the Commissioners, the verbatim transcripts of hearings held at various points across the country (including an index to these transcripts) and submissions from over 100 individuals, corporations and interest groups.

Collection consists of submissions made by various companies in the oil industry to the Alberta Petroleum and Natural Gas Conservation Board and the National Energy Board relating to the exportation of natural gas and crude oil from Alberta to Eastern Canada and the United States via proposed pipelines. Includes geological and engineering data, projections of Canadian market requirements, reserve estimates, financial projections, facility descriptions, etc. Companies making submissions include among others Trans-Canada Pipe Lines Ltd., Westcoast Transmission Co. Ltd., Alberta and Southern Gas Co. Ltd. and Canadian-Montana Pipe Line Co. Collection also includes several submissions to the Royal Commission on Energy in 1958.

Consists of a photograph album 5 cm thick, containing ca. 200 photographs of places and persons in Alberta and Montana. The album was compiled by A. F. Buckham from his photographs of a cattle drive, and life in and around Dorothy, Alberta and the lower Red Deer River (1921-1924), Edmonton, Alberta (1930), the later half of the album deals with A. F. Buckham's student experiences at the University of Alberta and on a mining engineering field trip to southern Alberta and Montana (1933-1935). The collection consists of photographs that depict various sites, people, and community events in a quadrant of Alberta to the southeast of Red Deer that is bordered by the communities of Three Hills, Drumheller, and Youngstown. Most of the photos focus on Youngstown and surrounding villages. The photos depict baseball games, picnics, the interior of a Drumheller coal mine, a group portrait of recent army recruits from Youngstown in 1916, unidentified people and farm sites, and various businesses/buildings in the area.

The fonds consists of photographs taken at various architectural sites around Alberta. These include a survey of housing in the abandoned coal town of Nordegg that was created by the Woolfenden Group, a photographic survey by McIntosh, Workun & Chernenko Architects of a federal building, and architectural surveys of St. Joseph's College, St. Stephen's College, the Ukrainian Village, and Beaver House.
