Guelph Curling Club Ontario curling association annuals

Series consists of Ontario Curling Association Annuals (OCA). Included in the annuals are the bylaws of the association, lists of clubs associated with the Ontario Curling Association, when particular clubs in Ontario were established, competition rules, and in some cases, statements of revenue and expenditures for the association. Also included are illustrations showing highlights of curling in Ontario. The Guelph Union Curling Club was featured in some of these illustrations.
Records are arranged by year. A number of annuals include indexes.

Guelph Curling Club historical records

Series consists of historical files collected and maintained by the Guelph Curling Club. Included are newspaper clippings and photographs of club events and activities and a draft copy of the publication Guelph Curling Club 150 Years 1838-1988. The slides are entitled Curling on the Speed River at Allan's Dam, Guelph and are reproductions of paintings by Evan MacDonald. These records document the history of the club.

Guelph Curling Club annual reports

Series consists of annual reports produced by the club. Included in the annual reports are profits and loss statements, auditor's reports, Board of Directors' reports and financial statements. In addition, a number of the annual reports list the names of those on the Board of Directors and those who held an executive office with the club. These records document the club's financial accountability to its membership.

Records are arranged chronologically by year.

Guelph Curling Club minutes

Series consists of minute books of the Guelph Curling Club including minutes of regular, special committee meetings as well as minutes for the Board of Directors of the Victoria Rink Limited. In addition, the minute book for [1898] - [1907?] contains financial statements and newspaper clippings for the above period.

This fonds is organized into nine series.

Hazel Spencer correspondence

This series consists of correspondence received by Hazel Spencer from locally, nationally, and internationally noteworthy individuals. The envelopes are also included.

The letters are arranged chronologically in date order.

Creative Arts Association historical records

Series consists mainly of scrapbooks created by the Creative Arts Association to document its history. In addition, there are sundry items including a guestbook, historical articles and booklets on the Association. There are also minutes of the Painter's Group, a sub-group of the Association that met throughout the 1950s. The photographs include images of various craft shows, artists, and workshops associated with the association.

Creative Arts Association promotional records

This series consists primarily of monthly newletters produced by the Creative Arts Association. There may be some missing editions. In additon, there is one file containing exhibition posters and another containing general publicity information. Note newsletters for the years 2005-2009 were interfiled with the executive records.

Creative Arts Association executive records

This series consists primarily of minutes kept for the meetings of the Creative Arts Association's Executive Committee. There are some gaps in the years covered. Note that minutes from the Association's annual general meetings (AGM) were often interfiled in these minutes although there are two independent files of AGM minutes. Newsletters and minutes of the special board meetings created by the association were also interfiled with the minutes. In addition, this series also includes by-laws, Treasurer's Reports, membership lists, one file on visioning and planning workshop, and Executive Committee member’s listings. This series of records documents the executive decision making process of the Association.

IODE, Victoria-Guelph Chapter administration records

Series consists of administrative records of the IODE, Victoria-Guelph Chapter, dating from 1969 to 1999. Included in the series are correspondence, copies of the national IODE constitution for 1969 and 1979, chapter membership lists, annual reports for 1974-1976, 1982 ,and 1983, chapter recipe books, Founders Day records, provincial IODE newsletters, and one folder of agendas and procedures related to citizenship court. Also included is a history of the Guelph Chapter IODE. These records document the administrative activities of the IODE Victoria-Guelph Chapter.
