The fonds consists of records documenting the administration of the project as well as reference files, oral histories, and a collection of historical photographs acquired during the course of the project. Records document the growth and development of schools in the Nanaimo-Ladysmith area and the recollections of former teachers and administrators in the school system. The fonds is arranged in four series: Project Administration (1987-1989), Reference (1939-1989), Oral history (1987-1989), and Photographs (ca. 1900-1979).

The fonds consists of a minute book (1953-1954) of the Association, a yearbook (1957-1958) for the Nanaimo and District Parent Teacher Council, and historical notes on the PTA and Chase River schools compiled on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the local PTA.

The fonds consists of records relating to Mortimer's teaching qualifications and experience in special education, including: education and professional certificates; appointment letter; teacher evaluation reports; reports authored by Mortimer on the role of learning assistance teachers and on implementation of a special needs program at Mount Benson School; a sample completed psychological test paper (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children); and correspondence relating to Mortimer's special education teaching methodology. Fonds includes photographs of Mortimer and students at Christopher Robin School and Mount Benson School.

Fonds contains 12.5 cm of textual records consisting of drafts of papers, off-prints of articles authored and co-authored by Fish, and files pertaining to his consultancy work in the Maldives and Sri Lanka. Also contains digital records and on diskettes (which have been migrated to CD), which include correspondence, memoranda, drafts, and other working files.

The fonds consists of some curricular material and email correspondence that Dr. Healy used in shaping her course, a rough draft and notes on "Work in progress: a collection of local history essays by students of History 407", audio tapes, computer disks, transcriptions, release forms, notes, draft articles and Dr. Healy's comments on student projects.

The fonds consists of newspaper articles on John Ferry and several documents related to Carney Ferry's work as a CNR agent. The bulk of the fonds documents William Dow Ferry's accomplishments, from his sixth grade report card to law school transcripts, university diplomas and certificates of appointment. Most photos are formal shots of William Ferry but one series relates to his military service, including photographs of soldiers in Whitehorse ca. 1940.

The first series consists of papers and artefacts belonging to the patriarch of the family, Teiji Morishita. The second series consists of papers and artefacts belonging to Teiji's wife, Sawa Morishita. The third series consists of papers and artefacts amassed while the Morishitas (with the Ebisuzakis) ran the Ebisuzaki Shoten (store) at 337 Powell Street in Vancouver, BC. The fourth series consists of family photographs and artefacts belonging to the Morishita family. The fifth series consists of papers and artefacts belonging to the Morishita children. And the sixth series consists of papers and artefacts belonging to the Ebisuzaki family.
