Fonds consists of ten photograph albums compiled and annotated by May Ellingsen. The albums contain both original and reproduced photographs of Cortes Island and nearby islands, including Twin Islands and Hernando Island. They are accompanied by captions and additional textual information such as pre-emption records, reminiscences and newspaper clippings. Most of the photographs date from the early decades of the 20th century, depicting homes and buildings, pioneer families, community activities, schools, wharves, boats, logging and marine activity. Fonds consists of two series: Series 1 (The May Ellingsen Historic Photograph Collection, Vol. 1-9, Accession 2004.002) and Series 2 (The Manson Family Album, Accession 2004.003).

The sub-series consists of original writings or edited copies of Chapter 5 "Ripples Widen" Part 2, for the history book Chepi Sepe. Records relate to histories of sports groups including baseball, curling, ladies golf, hockey (Spirit River Rangers), sky diving and flying clubs, Also included is a history of the development of Moonshine Lake as a recreational area.

The fonds consists of records relating to the campaign for Fish Creek Park.

The series consists of League statistics, play offs statistics, and schedules and game reports for games involving the following teams: Fort St. John "Flyers", Tumbler Ridge "Coal Kings", Grande Prairie "Athletics", Hythe "Mustangs", Spirit River "Rangers", Sexsmith "Raiders", Fairview "Monarchs", Grimshaw "Huskies", Beaverlodge"77s", High Prairie "Regals", Manning"Comets", Falher "Pirates" and a Valleyview team.

A copy of all records relating to game reports, league statistics, play off statistics, player statistics, schedules and league minutes were retained. Only duplicate copies of records were not retained.

The fonds consists of records collected and created by the Bowen Island Park and Store Use Society during its eight-year existence. The records include minutes of annual general meetings, correspondence, proposals, and reference materials. Additionally, there are a number of records, photographs, and ephemera from Heritage Day '84.

Fonds consists of a typewritten narrative of McKechnie’s and classmate George Gilchrist’s 1919 hiking trip through the Bridge River region, and two photocopied 1977 articles about his dog-sled journey from Hudson Bay to Cambridge Bay in the western Arctic.

The fonds consists of various materials relating to the history of Norwich and the County of Oxford, as well as various local groups and organizations. Such materials includes:

This fonds documents Millicent Anderson's curling activities, as well as those of her husband, curlers in the Newcastle / Chatham area (now Miramichi) and elsewhere in the province. It includes curling rule books; newspaper clippings; 6 issues of The Hog Score, the newsletter of the Fredericton Curling Club (1948); and a programme for the 10th annual induction ceremony of the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame (1979). The bulk of the fonds is comprised of pamphlets, leaflets and booklets pertaining to bonspiels held at various curling rinks around the province. Of particular interest is the souvenier program for the Labatt Brier, held at Moncton in 1985; a booklet containing information on the activities of Canadian and Scottish curling teams at home and abroad (1950); and a compilation of New Brunswick curling records that outline the development and growth of the sport throughout the province between 1854 and 1978.

Sturgeon Lake "Blues" appear in records only in 1977-78, Chetwynd Challengers joined in 1982, and Tumbler Ridge Coal Kings in 1984-85. Also included are a few pages of minutes and correspondence.
