This fonds consists of two medical journals--one containing records kept during his medical practice (14 April 1884 - 29 May 1892), the other recording daily transactions (1 October 1887 - 1 April 1892)--a scrapbook containing photographs, loose photographs, and glass negatives. It also contains a biography file containing photocopies of newspaper stories and photos of Dr. George Noyes, and a handmade scrapbook by his son Benjamin L. Noyes entitled "Historical & Scenic Volume, Grand Manan Island, Charlotte County, N.B."

Fonds mainly consists of documents related to Walter Oswald Chestnut's career as a physician. Fonds includes appointment books, closed medical records, patient correspondence, published medical reports, financial materials including income tax (1938-1987) and cash books, and certificates consisting of marriage, funeral, birth, and Chestnut's obituary. There are Chestnut geneological notes, Chestnut's 1987 probate, and his wife Nina's certificate of birth, 1904. Photographs consist of both black and white and coloured photographs, dated 1900-1986, which include personal photographs of Walter and Nina, the Vaness family, family social events, and professional functions.

Arthur Maxwell Fisher

Fonds consists of Arthur M. Fisher's school diploma, World War I related news clippings, postcards, photographs of Fisher as a soldier in the First World War (all informal poses), and a scrapbook containing social memorabilia. There is also correpondence about Fisher's death; a 1925 letter regarding Fisher's decoration received by Mildred Fisher; and a book, The War Graves of the British Empire, containing brief biographical information on Arthur Fisher.

Mabel Eliza Lewin

This fonds documents Mabel Lewin's service as a nurse during the First World War. The fonds contains correspondence between Lewin and wounded WWI soldiers who were in her care, postcards of locations she served and of places where the soldiers she corresponded with served in Europe, and snapshots taken of nurses and officers whom Lewin met and served with. There are also magazines and newspapers dated 1937-1951.

Dr. Thomas Farmer Sprague

This fonds consists mainly of documents pertaining to Dr. T. F. Sprague's professional career as a doctor. There are account books which include the names of his patients, the cost of their visits, amount paid, and in most cases, the purpose of the visit, i.e. dressing for hand, injury. There are notes of whether medicine was given to the patient, but the type of medicine is not named nor whether the patient was cured. Also included are T. F. Sprague's personal financial receipts, correspondence with patients related to money owed, and certificates T. F. Sprague received throughout his career as a physician.

Fisher's Drug and Bookstore fonds

The fonds consists of records created by Simeon Fisher during the course of owning and operating Fisher's Drug and Book Store. There are several wholesale invoices as well as nine large prescription invoice ledgers and correspondence between Mr. Fisher, local residents and National Drug Co. where he purchased wholesale drugs for his pharmacy. These records cover the years between 1902 and 1948 when his business was in operation. The fonds is arranged in three series: Correspondence; Prescription Invoices; Drug Invoices.

It includes a program for a concert by the Hospital Auxiliary in 1912 to raise funds for a new hospital wing, annual reports from 1968 and 1969 for the Prince Rupert General Hospital Association, minutes from 1969, a notice of the 1970 annual meeting, floor plans for the regional hospital building, a pamphlet for the opening of the regional hospital, the June/July 1971 edition of Registered Nurses Association of British Columbia News, and annual reports for the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital Association from 1974, 1992, and 1994.

The fonds consists of materials related to the film "A Test in Time," produced in 1945 by the Prince Rupert and District Union Board of Health. It includes an original script to accompany the film and a video cassette copy of the original film. The film covered various aspects of health in the Prince Rupert region such as industry, child rearing, vaccinations, sanitation, chlorination, pest control, milk production, and diseases. People who were living in Prince Rupert and featured in the film were Medical Health Officer Dr. Roger Knipe, Olive Johnson, Bea Fry, Public Health Nurses, Malcolm Harper, Public Health Inspector, receptionist Phyllis Batt, and Vivian and Irene Harper as members of the public. Also includes the annual report for Skeena Health Unit from 1975, and a pamphlet entitled "Pacific Panorama" distributed by the Department of National Health and Welfare Medical Services that refers to Miller Bay Hospital in September 1962.
