The fonds consists of the minutes of the Brooklyn Women's Institute for the periods 1940 to1943 and 1946 to 1971. Membership and officers lists, roll call, and financial records are included. The fonds also contains the South Central Kings Executive minutes for the years 1961 to 1966, and the South Central Kings Convention minutes for the period 1963 to 1967.

The fonds consists of nine minute books (1947-2002) and four account books (1947-1990) belonging to the Brackley Women's Institute. These records include meeting minutes, financial information, membership lists, and annual reports. The fonds also contains some historical information and correspondence about the Brackley school house, a list of the teachers (1834-1974), and information about the Community Pride Program.

The 1990-2000 minute book also contains a colour photograph (dated December 1996) taped to the inside front cover. This is not a complete set of minute books and there are some gaps in coverage. The fonds also contains an undated book of recipes and a file of miscellaneous papers which include a 1934 Women's Institute Handbook, a 1932 Montague Women's Institute annual report, a history of Montague (dated 1972), and a short history (two paragraphs) about the Montague Baptist Church.
