Fonds consists of correspondence with the Canadian Medical Association and its professional journal. Other contents include manuscripts of papers and addresses in addition to original copies of publications by Dr. Hattie. Fonds also contains several obituaries from different sources as well as a letter from Sec. Graduates of McGill University H.C. Pruell, (dated March 10, 1897) and a letter from Sir J.W. Dawson (dated March 20, 1897).

Fonds consists of a medical license awarded by the Provincial Medical Board of Nova Scotia. Missing from the fonds are two Dalhousie University Football (Dal Meds) photographs (1901 and 1902).

Fonds consists of certificates awarded by the Provincial Medical Board of Nova Scotia and Dalhousie College and University. There are several student tickets from various Halifax institutions included in the fonds.
