Lower Beaverlodge School fonds

The fonds consists of records maintained by the Board of Directors for the operation of the Lower Beaverlodge School. It includes correspondence with the Departments of Education, Municipal Affairs and Public Health, the Soldier’s Settlement Board, the Workman’s Compensation Board, school inspectors and parents; financial records including annual financial statements and auditor’s reports, grant statements; insurance, education assessment and tax records, purchases of equipment and curriculum materials; school inspection reports; school census records listing the names and birthdates of children, their parents, and their address; agreements with teachers; supplementary curriculum aids such as radio programming and flags for Empire Day, rough voters lists for 1928 and 1931 elections

The fonds consists of correspondence between various government bodies and those interested in establishing the cemetery from 1944-1959. They include letters relating to acquiring government approval for establishing a cemetery in 1944-1945, on-going correspondence, and a duplicate certificate of title issued to the Many Creeks Cemetery Company in 1945.

Maurice Pivert fonds

The fonds consists of a 26 page biography of Maurice Pivert written by his niece, Paulette Pivert Hrychiw, and copies of 20 photographs taken by Maurice Pivert between 1947 and 1952. The photographs include four of a Model T race at the fairgrounds in 1947, four of building the Memorial Arena in 1949, six of a County Agricultural fair and parade ca. 1950, two of the municipal hospital ca. 1950, and four of new public buildings in Grande Prairie ca. 1952. These photographs are a few of the many Maurice Pivert took as he documented life around him at his farm in Grande Prairie. The copies were made available by Paulette Hrychiw.

National Farmers Union, DeBolt Local 830 fonds

The fonds consists of the records of the National Farmers Union, DeBolt Local 830, which received its charter on July 23, 1970. Records include the original charter, the first Minute Book from 1970-1976, financial records from 1971-1987, and the report for the 1978 District 1 Convention.

Nicolas and Erena Woronuk fonds

The fonds consists of two copies of a biographical account of Nicholas (Nylolai) Woronuk and family, written in Ukrainian by a niece, Mrs. John Bzovey of Rycroft. The document was typed and and edited by I. Goresky, of Edmonton, and tells of the family's epic journey from Edson to Grande Prairie in 1913. Included in the fonds are a shorter account of the story, in English, as published in "Ukrainians in Alberta"; additional hand written accounts from the Woronuk family in English and Ukrainian; and a letter from I. Goresky to Dr. Jerry Petryshyn referencing the history of Ukrainians in Alberta, and especially the Woronuk family.

The fonds consists of minute books 1948-1999, financial records 1949-1997, correspondence 1949-1998, cook books (1982 and 1992), records relating to the Kleskun School Reunion 1987, and the Ladies Club Reunion 1990. There are also 58 photographs taken of club members, various events, and quilts made by the club.
There was no discernible original order in the records when they arrived. Order was imposed on them by the archivist based on the content of the records.

Olaf Vekved fonds

The fonds consists of an unlined Norwegian School scribbler labeled "Tegnebog for Olav Vekvic," containing five pencil drawings signed by Olav and dated 1906, when he was 19 years old. Most of them are floral bouquets, but one is a portrait of an elderly man described as "Utenrikeminister Lavland". There is also a 1928 report from the Experimental Sub-Station at Beaverlodge, AB, and a 1920 letter from The Pellman Institute regarding a course of studies about which Olaf had enquired.

Oliver H. Johnson fonds

The fonds consists of the 1908-1909 homestead diary of Oliver H. Johnson. It provides a daily record of his activities as he broke land, built a house, barn, and other structures, interacted with his neighbours, including the Stones, Sinclairs, Fergusons, Bredins, Hardins, Smiths, Germaine, Arnold, Allie Brick, Mead & Grant, members of the Beaver First Nation, and others, and travelled back to Edmonton to join his family. The last few pages of the diary list recipes, drugs, groceries, dry goods, hardware, and accounts, some of which may date from his time as a storekeeper.
