This collection consists of two photographs taken in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. One photograph is of the graduating class (1920-1921) of the Agricultural and Technical School, and the other photograph is of the staff and students of the Agricultural High School (1921). The members of the graduating class are identified on the original photograph.

This collection consists of an unidentified Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, store ledger (1857-1858) and three photographs of the buildings at the corner of Kent and Queen Streets (ca. 1880-1890). The merchandise recorded in the Charlottetown store ledger was mainly loaves, molasses, flour, sugar, onions, tea, eggs and matches. Regular customers of the store included W. H. Pope, T. H. Haviland, Admiral Bayfield, Doctor Stratton and Gov. Daly. All three of the photographs include some part of the A. N. Large business located on the corner of Kent and Queen Streets. Some individuals in the photographs are identified.

Henry Shearman collection

This collection consists of seven original letters written by Henry Shearman to his sister Marian Reynolds, who lived in England. The first letter (8 April 1836) is from Devonport, England, where Shearman and his family were waiting to embark on the ship "Castalia" towards Prince Edward Island. The other six letters were all written from PEI, from October 1836 to October 1843. Also included with the collection is a biographical sketch of Henry Shearman, written by Alejandro S. Milberg, and a transcription of the letters. A CD-ROM containing an electronic copy of the biographical sketch, transcripts of the letters, and digital copies (scans) of the original letters is also included.

The collection consists of one photograph of the original crew of the whaleback steamer "Turret Bell", ashore at Cable Head, Prince Edward Island, in 1906. The photographer is unknown and the individuals in the photograph are unidentified.

The ship "Turret Bell" was launched from Newcastle-on-Tyne, England in 1894. On 2 November 1906 the ship was blown off course and onto rocks off Cable Head, Prince Edward Island. The ship was a local viewing attraction for three years, until it was salvaged on 31 July 1909. The ship was towed to Charlottetown, then to Quebec for repairs, after which she returned to her work in coastal shipping and trading.

This work provides a history of the Latin American Mission Program (LAMP) which was established by the Diocese of Charlottetown in Prince Edward Island in 1968. The publication also includes personal reminiscences and stories of 19 Islanders who traveled to the Caribbean and Central America as missionaries with LAMP.

The photograph shows King George VI and Queen Elizabeth outside of Province House in Charlottetown during their visit to Prince Edward Island on 14 June 1939. The King and Queen can be seen shaking hands with a group of war veterans. The man shaking the Queen's hand in the photograph is Nicholas Murphy. In 1939 King George VI of England and his wife Queen Elizabeth made a month-long tour of Canada. They set sail for Canada on 6 May and travelled for nine days across the Atlantic Ocean. The King and Queen's first stop in Canada was Quebec City. On 14 June 1939, near the end of their tour, the royal couple visited Charlottetown, PEI.

The fonds contains Keith Branigan's book "From Clan to Clearance: History and Archaeology on the Isle of Barra, c. 850-1850 AD". The work is the result of over fifteen years of historical and archaeological research into the history of Barra, Scotland, and its people. The author draws upon field surveys, excavations, and documentary research from the United Kingdom and Canada. A catalogue of named emigrants from the Isle of Barra to British North America (1772-1851) also appears at the end of the volume. The fonds also includes a computer disk containing the emigrant catalogue in Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF) and in Microsoft Excel and OpenOffice spreadsheets.

In one image, a woman is engaged in needlework in the parlour. There are two copies of this image. In the other image, a young man sits in the parlour. The photographer who made these copy prints may have been Vera Beck, a member of the Charlottetown Camera Club.
