The Joint Diary Breeds Committee acted on concerns shared by the various dairy cattle associations, and included the Ayrshire Breeders' Association of Canada, the Brown Swiss Association of Canada, the Canadian Guernsey Breeders' Association, Canadian Jersey Cattle Club, the Holstein-Friesian Association of Canada, Canadian Red Poll Cattle Association, and a number of related institutions (e.g. the Ontario Agricultural College, the Ontario Veterinary College, the Canadian National Exhibition).
