Series consists of materials accumulated by Hugh Guthrie during the course of his activities with the Progressive Conservative Party of South Wellington. Included are pamphlets created for the general electorate including promotional materials for Alf Hales and the conservative party, reference and informational materials aimed at conservative party workers and candidates, and speeches and reports from George A. Drew. Included is a Speakers Manual consisting of pamphlets recording the achievements of the Drew Government listed under nineteen departments.

City of Guelph Sewerage Committee minutes

Series consists of one bound minute book of the Sewerage Committee for the period of 1901-1909. Included in this series are committee reports and recommendations for sewage disposal, waste water treatment, local improvement assesments, sewer pipe connections, construction and maintenance, payment of accounts, labour relations and salary issues for sewerage employees, and consideration of tenders for sewage disposal plant and sewer pipe connections work. These records document the role of the committee in directing sewerage operations in the City of Guelph.

Daily attendance registers from King Edward School

This sub-series consists of registers created and maintained daily by teachers to record the attendance of students in the King Edward School. Information in these registers includes teachers' names, students' names, reasons for absence, and aggregate statistical information on class absences.

These records are arranged chronologically. There are some gaps in the years covered. See box listing F40-0-1-6 for more details.

City Clerk’s Department, Municipal Manual, City of Winnipeg (1874-1971)

Forms part of Fonds 1: Series consists of publications produced by the City Clerk’s Department on an annual basis. Information was gathered from city departments and includes a broad range of data, past and present, reflecting Winnipeg’s political and administrative structure and general activities under the city’s jurisdiction. Volumes contain historical facts, election results, a description of Council, appointments to Standing and Special Committees and Public Boards, descriptions of civic departments and statistics on services delivered by the City. The first issue in 1904 consisted of only 20 pages. The manual changed over the years and grew in size as new material was added. The series continues after the formation of Unicity in 1972.

Library associations records

Sub-series consists of records related to the membership of the Guelph Public Library in the Ontario Library Association and the Midwestern Regional Library Service. Included in this sub-series are Ontario Library Association Annual Meeting programs dating from 1904 to 1931, and records relating to the Library's membership in the Midwestern Library Association. Also included are 1976 Midwestern Regional Library System audio cassettes entitled: Visiting Library Workshop - Guelph. These records document the involvement of the Guelph Public Library in provincial and regional library associations.

Letter from Thomas Dixon, Clerk Peace Co Bruce

Item is a typed, carbon copy letter on onion skin paper from Thomas Dixon, Clerk of the Peace in Bruce County. The letter was most likely originally sent to a Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) office in Bruce County and then copied and forwarded to other CPR stations, including the North Bay office. The letter quotes a letter Thomas Dixon received from the Attorney General on May 18, 1905 concerning homeless men in regards to burglaries and violent crimes. The letter instructs railway employees to assist the Railway Constables with handling these matters and to remind the constables of their duty to "administer the law strictly and vigorously."
