OCO '88 Collection

This collection consists predominately of printed materials produced by OCO '88, such as manuals, handbooks, reports, press releases, and education kits; and printed materials accumulated by OCO '88, such as proposals, bids, and consultants' reports. It has been grouped into two series on that basis. A third series contains materials produced by the Olympic Arts Festival, a related event administered by OCO '88.

The relay involved 6,820 Canadians carrying the sacred Olympic flame across Canada prior to the 1988 Olympic Winter Games. The collection consists of: press releases; speeches given at the kindling of the Olympic flame in Greece; correspondence; a report on the torch design; pamphlets; maps of the route of the Olympic torch across Canada; list of Canadian Olympians participating in the relay.
